the car hire man? .. terrific shot, trouble is he hit the target only about 5% of the time .. and corners?. ..... 1/2 never even made it into the field of play .. apart from that .. he was quick .. and useless
Controversial, but I'm going to throw Bailey in there. Thought he started well but his performances towards the end with us were awful.
And it has nothing to do with the penalty miss either, I thought it WAY before that...
Bailey was consistent when it came to getting the ball stuck under his feet when trying to turn and then losing it to the opposition. And to add to the drama he would chuck in a bit of play acting to make it look like he was fouled in the process. No Nicky you just weren't that good sometimes.
David Mooney, drove me up the wall but would score a few goals. Don't think holding his hand to his ear to us after one goal endeared him to many after that. I got slagged off for remarking how much of a comedian he was and got slaughtered for it on here.
Andy Jones. John Humphrey told me that he didn't think Jones was good enough but he seemed to have a better goalscoring record than anyone else other than Paul Williams at the time and I couldn't understand why he wasn't given longer runs in the team.
Brendan O'Connell. Some supporters loved his effort. I thought we could never be a good team with him in central midfield because he wasn't good enough.
Robert Lee (when he was a striker). Was moaned at by plenty because he used to miss chances. I loved watching him because he was so skillful and his pace used to get him on the end of chances.
Mark Aizlewood. Steve Dixon backed his man even in the dark days while others took him to task. The switch to midfield made people change their minds.
Big Carl. Absolutely loved him, his hold up play, causing chaos in the oppo's box. One of a very small band of players who scored against Man Ure during that season we played them at Old Trafford. Was noticeable how much we missed him when he took his opportunity and went to Wimbledon.
Even nearly 14 years on the Leaburn Lovers still don't get it. He left was replaced by a Striker who despite his advancing years could do all things Leaburn could do of holding the ball up with ease, AND score goals.
And Brighty didn't spend 18 months out of contract.
Paul Mortimer - for me one of the most talented players we've ever had and will always be remembered for his performance at Millwall in the snow, plus the numerous great goals he scored. But some people thought he was lazy and useless - particularly the bloke who used to sit behind me. He had been slagging him off all game once and then Morts curled a free kick in from 25 yards and we all just turned round clapping and cheering to this idiot, who was sat slumped in the corner looking like he'd swallowed a wasp.
Bexley Dan -- some have no idea what he's like, while one rates him higher than Semedo.
Semedo is a classic - don't doubt he's a formidable opponent and battler but a pants footballer and as for Racon - flattered to deceive, an absolute waste of time. Wednesday will gradually fade away this season due to a lack of goals and eventually they will rumble that they have a defender playing in midfield. Jorge Costa - i think people got a bit starstruck - i thought he was okay, but nothing more and glad we didn't sign him full time. Leaburn - i think we probably would still have gone up if he'd stayed that year. Hollands - past his best by the time he came to us. Wagstaff - like him, hope he stays.
Bartlett???? I used to hate him, purely because he never scored enough goals. Looking back on it now he did a great job at leading the line and winning headers, and he scored THAT goal...... good team player.

Darren Bent for me. All he did was score goals. How he became a fans favourite i'll never know.
