  • Some of the players looked very rusty. Need to play some more behind closed doors games

Alonso looked better towards the end of the game. Green the same i would say.

Every time i see Yann, he impressive me nice little chip.

  • Kermit is awesome.
  • Not once have these commentators even acknowledged that we fielded a much weakened team and are really not bothered by the result!!

Performance still disappointing though - but thank goodness we have Cort as back up CB rather than Docherty. I had almost forgotten how bad he is!!

  • Who was that Glamorgan up front for us ?
  • I know it's only the JPT et etc but is everyone more confident about our next match after this evening?
Makes no difference to me. The first team will be back in action, Powell will have had words and this will just be a mere blip soon forgotten. No big deal.
  • 0-3 Full Time.
  • Hayes and Hughes both shocking, wagstaff very poor as was doherty, only players i thought did well were green and kermorgant when he came on. green for waggy and kermit for hayes at the weekend please.
  • How is that not embarrassing ?
  • Shall we all start prending we're bothered now?

  • cup dreams shattered

  • Nobody came out of that game with any credit at all in my opinion, squad players or first teamers.  Such a 'meh' performance.
  • Not disappointed by the result in any way, but very disappointed in the performance of some, and attitude in most.
  • We are gonna lose some games and get at least one thrashing.  Thank god the losses so far have both been in (relatively) unimportant games with no direct bearing on the league or our promotion prospects.  That this is so makes me think that CP and his backstage team are better strategists than they are sometimes given credit for.  Not that he set out to lose, I'm (almost) sure he wouldn't do that, but that he makes bloody sure we aren't losing the league games.
  • Don't think Hayes would be one i'd single out to be honest, didn't exactly get much service!
  • no 47 spirit today sadly
  • Dear ole dear, tonight was worse than watching Johnstones paint dry.
  • Ideally we'd have won, but it's not the end of the world. The league is our main aim and a reality check is always a good thing and I think we can now guarentee a win this weekend because of tonight. We'll get a reaction.

Our main aim this season is to get promoted. Would I have liked to win the JPT? Yes. But we're still on track to achieve our main aim, and there was a few positives (Green, Evina, Kermorgant) from tonight.
  • It sounds like some of our players couldn't be arsed, which is worrying....

I'm sure CP is suitably unimpressed.
  • Not once have these commentators even acknowledged that we fielded a much weakened team and are really not bothered by the result!

The commentators have been told to make NO reference to either side fielding a weakened team. This would undermine the competition & royally piss off the sponsors. The Sky commentary, as a result, was totally dishonest. Shameful really.
  • Sorry.  I'm a Charlton fan.  I shouldve said "yet".

  • Thought Wagstaff played well on the left cutting inside getting shots in etc.

  • I told you the trophy cabinet wasn't big enough
  • So where have they been keeping the crock of shit?
  • I told you the trophy cabinet wasn't big enough
I happen to know the painter/decorator who decorated the board room over the summer - he said there's lots of room in the trophy cabinet!
  • People talking about players attitudes but some were already tired and trying not to tire themselves out even more for Saturday. I was quite happy watching players not breaking too much of a sweat. Im sure they were only following SCP's instructions as well.
  • I hope that's the last game we ever play in that pointless competition. The most important thing was that no one got injured.
  • Look on the bright side. Only one card, for a player who wont pick up many, no apparent injuries, Alonso and Evina got valuable playing time, and Kermit once again looked interesting. Of course it was a poor performance but what we saw above all was the consequence of having a big squad and no reserve team competition.

Oh and we wont have any more of this nonsense before Christmas, when we have the FA Cup, which might involve replays.
  • Sullivan didn't do anything wrong apart from one kick. Evina looks a good prospect. Alonso never hid, was always looking for the ball from the defence but looks very rusty. Green lively in parts. Hayes few nice touches but no service. That's all the positives I can think of. And Garry Birtles is a twat.
