You know you've upset the Management when the allocation of duties is posted up on the noticed board at Preview Towers and you've got Brentford in the JPT.
Where's my agent's phone number?
After weeks of unchanging teams this fixture at least gives fans the chance to play "name the starting XI" again. The ridiculous rules about how many of the regulars must start mean that Chris Powell is robbed of the chance to rest the entire first team and field a 2nd Eleven as he did in the league cup. BWP's knee may need a rest and Sullivan will most likely get a game but other than that it hard to call.
Green seems likely to start but Kermorgant may still not be ready for a full 90 mins. With Cort away in the Caribbean and Mambo on loan only Docherty is available to step in at CH. Evina could replace Wiggins. Waggy's flexibility could mean he starts up top with either Kermit or Hayes. Scott and Green were a handful for Reading with their pace and ability to interchange. It would be good to see Smith and some of the youngsters on the bench too.
And the enigma that is Alonso? It was hinted that he might play v Preston but the OS said only last week that he was finally back in full training. He was spotted in the Brammel Lane huddle post match so perhaps this could be the match when he finally plays. But don't count on it.
Who knows what sort of team Brentford will play? They got stuffed 4 - 0 at home by Huddersfield on Saturday but with a small squad they have little room to rest players even if they wanted to.
The game is also on TV which will further hit what was always going to be a very low gate even at £5 and a sort of London derby.
I'm going for a Curbs style minor cup game. 4 - 4 and we lose on pens just like we did last season. And most people won't be all that bothered. One aim this year and it ain't the JPT

2-0 Charlton.
Agree that the rules for this competition are ridiculous. Presumably the clubs agreed to them so have only themselves to blame.
Johnstones most likely insisted on the rule so their sponsorship wasn't of a reserve cup and can't really blame them. He who pays the piper calls the tune.
8-0 to us, or 2-1 should be interesting viewing sitting with the posh people in the West!
Sure, but they're not paying an awful lot. I recall someone in the know (Airman?) saying last season we were losing money in the early runds of the JPT. And our "crowds" for the JPT are amongst the highest.
I dunno, seems a very strange competition for the clubs to have agreed to. High risk of injuries and little chance of making any serious money unless you reach the final.
C'mon, let's get behind the boys and not take the gloss off the competition.
0-0.
1-0 to them on pens.
Will Johnstones paint provide strippers if we win?
It'll be cold tomorrow so I hope CP puts an undercoat on.
4-1. Maintaining a winning mentality will be our Primery aim, though they seem to have a better record away than they do at home, winning their last four.
Hopefully Uwe Rosler wont be an aerosol in the post match interview
Given how well we're playing, the price of the tickets and the fact that Brentford is not too fasr away, I expect a reasonable turn-out (by JPT standards, of course).
Let's face it, if we don't get outta this league soon people will start calling Brentford our local rivals!
Charlton 1-1 Brentford, with us winning 7-6 on penalties.
so we can rest 5 players. BWP for definate. possibly taylor and then maybe its our midfield that will be benefit from a rest if Alonso is fit
so
Hamer
Solly Morrison Docherty Wiggins
Green Hughes Alonso Wagstaff
Hayes kermi
I Alonso is not fit then Stephnes or Holands may have to play with Evina coming in for Wiigins
Could well make it an interesting game and well worth £5.
These games expose how light we are in the BWP position - but I guess this is to do with Bensons 'status'
Sullivan, Hughes, Taylor, Morrow, Evina
Green, Alonso, Stevo, Waggy
Hayes and Kermit
Subs, Hamer, Doc, BWP, Jacko, Smith.
3-0 addicks, crowd of 8,129
Cant do a match thread as watching game on lap-top, sorry guys.
My stab at the starting line up
Sullivan , Solly , Wiggins , Alonso , Doherty , Morrison , Green,Wagstaff , Hayes ,Hughes,Evina Subs Hamer , Taylor , Stephens ,Euell, Kermit
