This Fifa is the least-changed iteration of a football game I've seen in years. Apart form the defending and the slightly more nuanced dribbling (which means there are hardly any fouls, which is great). There are some little fixes, like taking a quick throw in, which are really nice. But I wouldn't be TOO excited about going home to play it - it's just not that much different!!
Playing as Charlton on World Class is infuriating - getting the players to pass anywhere over 10 yards is almost impossible! It's like lower league players don't know how to kick the ball hard...
Maybe your just rubbish? ill see tonight lol i usually play on legendary but its going to be hard only just started winning a few on the demo kept going to penalties
Just got back from town with my own copy (not some poor little kids) and played first 2 friendlies of pre-season on career mode. Tackling takes a bit of getting used to but it's okay. Couldn't find Kermit either. PS3 done update but I'm guessing that doesn't include the squad update?
I know how I'm spending my friday night now...................
I had to go and buy a game for my stepdads birthday. He wanted some weird Space Marine game. I was tempted to get Fifa, but i didnt. Just not that bothered about it. Mainly because i prefer Pro Evo.
My Inet is down at my flat anyway, so i wouldnt be able to play my pals online which would be the only reason to own it.

Tango, the rest of the lot on here are kids but you can't be much off my age. Why are you playing a kids game?
I guess I never grew up with them as those of you in your 20s or even 30s did.
Have played World at War on the Wii which I enjoyed but only when I could be the Red Army killing nazis. Black Ops is odd and I have to keep correcting the history for Joe.
FIFA live for xbox. What is it? How does it connect to the internet? Wi-fi or what. Can it be linked to TV or is it laptop?
Henry Jnr wants it but you need to explain to a 50 year old who doesn't play video games or know much about IT
Never heard of FIFA Live? He could possibly mean Xbox Live, which is pretty simple. You connect through the internet with your Xbox to play people all across the world.
However if he has Xbox Live and meant Live Season, that cost's.. You play matches with a team and your players get ratings and perform like they did the weekend before in real life. All other results go based on real life scores and the season unfolds.
And if it is Xbox Live, that costs around £40 a year I think!
You can play against other people who have xbox live in head to head matches. You just get an internet cable going from the back of the xbox to the internet hub in your house. Or you can buy a wifi thing which goes into the back of the xbox and avoids wires all over the place, just depends on how close the xbox is to your internet hub. Need to go on xbox profile and select "upgrade membership" and then xbox live gold , which works out to about £40 for a year or £12 every 3 months.
Got it for £23. Got a £10 off voucher for morrinsons in the Sun yesterday for when you spend £60 instore and they accept them at Tescos. So I bought F1 and Fifa for £51 as Fifa is £25 with any chart game then sold F1 for £28 to CEX. Easy Easy! Worth that price!

OK yes I meant Xbox live. Thanks this makes sense but some more questions.
OK, TV near internet hub. So where do I buy a wi-fi thingy?
When you say "xbox profile" is that on the consul itself?

If you have an xbox you will have had to set up a profile, this can then be upgraded to xbox live gold i.e. the ability to play games online. I believe xbox live silver is free, it gives you internet access via your xbox but not the ability to play online.
Your profile can bee seen/edited from the xbox dashbord (the 'home' screen which comes up when you fist turn the console on (before you load up a game)
You can get the xbox wireless adapters from game/argos etc but they can be quite pricey. Otherwise try Ebay! I bought one off there, worked fine & no longer need it so I'm selling it back on Ebay.
Are you saying the xbox is indeed near your internet hub/router?
If so, there is no need for a wireless adaptor, you just need to plug a network (ethernet cat5/6) cable from the back of your xbox to a spare port/hole in your router. If you don't have a cable you can buy one from Maplins or a GAME store etc, (overpriced mind, most likely around a tenner?)
If the xbox is far enough from your internet router that running a cable is difficult or would look un-sightly, then you can purchase a wireless adaptor for the xbox. The official ones cost around £45-55.
NOTE: the newer (black) xbox's have built-in wireless and there is no need to purchase the adaptor.
All of the above can be purhcase in-stores instead if you wish.
You upgrade the account in the xbox "dashboard" itself before loading a game - Look for a menu called "profiles", each person who plays on the xbox can create their own profile which records saved games and personal settings etc and the "Xbox Live" subscription applies to only one profile. Choose the profile your son uses, then look for an option titled "Upgrade Account to Xbox Live" or similar.
Right, so the difference in style between the old and new versions aren't that great, the new versions are smaller, but you don't get an idea of scale in these pictures - anyone who owns both or the new one know an easy way Henry can check which one he has?
NEW XBOX VERSION (WIRELESS INCLUDED)
OLD XBOX (but black version) - NEEDS WIRELESS ADAPTOR
I got a big dilemma................. FIFA12 arrived in the post this morning from amazon. This shocked me as I haven't even ordered it!!!
I looked at the address and it's for No21 (I live at 31). I am meaning to buy it anyway, so do I gratefully accept this bonus gift from my dumb-ass postman or take it to the correct address?
I'm torn as to what to do, but one thing's for sure........I'm gonna have a game. If I decide to give it to the rightful owner, I'll just say I assumed my son ordered it (he's only 11 but they don't know that hopefully).
Right back to FIFA, this is the first time I've bought a FIFA game since Road to World Cup 98! I've been loyal to Pro Evo ever since but haven't owned a console since the PS2 up until a couple of weeks ago when I got a PS3.
I'm not afraid to admit I'm finding it really tough playing the new FIFA, it must just be I'm out of practice but I can't believe how hard I'm finding it! My wireless controllers have nearly been flung across the room a few times already!
Even navigating and understanding all the different game modes is hard! God I'm getting old!
Great stuff, you have a brand spanking new one with all the equipment required.
So expense wise you're just looking at the £40 or so per year subscription to have the xbox work online "Xbox Live Gold Membership" and a suitable game that works online, such as fifa12.
The only hard bit that remains is setting your xbox up to talk "wirelessly" with your internet hub in the other room, which also needs to be wireless itself, but I'm assuming it will be as most are these days... Especially if you have a standard bit of kit from one of the major providers Virgin/Sky/BT?
--- How to connect your Xbox 360 console to your wireless network:
You'll most likely struggle with this next bit, if you've never used your wireless network before you probably don't know the network name or the security settings/password - the default settings are usually printed on the bottom of the router/hub (which you really should change for security reasons)... come back and post on here if you have issues!
On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
Select Network Settings.
Select Configure Network.
On the Basic Settings tab, select Wireless Mode.
Select Scan for Networks.
Select your wireless network name. If your network is not listed, you can try the following:
Select Specify Unlisted Network and enter your wireless network name.
Select your wireless security.
Enter your wireless network password, and then select Done.
Press B on your controller, and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
If you successfully connect to Xbox LIVE, you’ll see this screen:
I have an old, old xbox 360 and got the fifa 12 and 12 months of xbox live deal for £60 at tescos, my mate's got a wireless thing which he's given to me. But just one quick question, do i need a hard drive to get xbox live? They cost like £70

Left the store without Fifa 12!

The box is fairly new and black but the internet hub is in another room. Not having a cable running from the living room.
Will try when back from Sheffield
If you have the smaller black xbox you will already have wifi.
