  • Yeah, sorry for my part in the descent into politics. I'm in Australia & have been reading this thread as a way to keep in touch with what's really happening back in blighty - and it's been a lot better than the official news. Feeling a lot of anger & frustration at not being able to be there with friends & family & it's coming out sideays at times. Up the addicks :)
    New underwear?
if you managed to loot some - i'm a medium & like calvins
  • I'd like to reiterate my thanks for this thread and agree that it has been compulsive viewing.

More than that it has been useful in relating events as they happen to the extent that I was actually asked by somebody how I knew what had gone off in Woolwich and Charlton as nothing had appeared on TV or radio at that stage.

Finally, on a lighter note, apparently somebody tweeted that Libya now recognises the rioters as the official British government!

  • first person to appear before the courts for looting..............

    a 31 year old teacher.

  • If this carries on for another night there is the risk of this becoming the largest thread on here...
    even bigger than 'word game'?

  • The mags courts sat all night. They are all being sent up to the Crown Court for higher sentences.
  • Anybody see the fella come out of the courts and cover his face with a newspaper, to then walk along with the paper in front of his face and walk into a lamp post!

    Quality!
  • Should be made to pay compo on top of any sentence dished out.

The magistrates courts can only impose a maximum sentence of six months, it seems most of the cases will be referred upwards where sentences should be longer.

But here I'm all for a spot of community service - make them clear the mess up first, and then jail them.

  • Haha @Dizzle that's great, not so tough now is he.
  • Ha ha - That guy on Dizzle's video link walked into a lamp post outside the court as he had a newspaper over his face trying to hide from the press - what a twat!
  • jeesus. Listening to Ed Miliband rambling on like Daffy Duck. If that twonk ever gets into power I'll be the first to riot.
  • Best be prepared for this. It'll be all over the media in the next few days - wall-to-wall 24 hour news coverage has to be filled with something. There'll be hand-wringing, chin-stroking pillocks on one side trying to 'understand' it all (despite never having lived anywhere near the scum doing this, or having gone to school with any of them, or grown up in fear for yourself if you have to go out at night) and moaning about all the youth centres being closed on one side; Knuckle-dragging fuckwits on the other saying it's all because of the blacks/asians/eastern europeans/whoever they feel like singling out coming over here and taking our jobs & dealing drugs (despite them all getting f***ed on charlie every night and never having done a day's honest toil in their lives).

    All predictably depressing.
    Superb summary, Leroy....love it.

By the sounds of the media today, people are heartily sick of criminals being treated like victims and vice-versa and recent events might just have provided the catalyst for this situation to finally change.....I live in hope!

See everyone I'm not the only one that thinks he's daffy duck in disguise...
  • Where is that a picture from WSS??
  • Not sure - lifted it from a friend's facebook page.
