Well - this is the thing. Plenty of these neanderthals have clearly said they are doing it to get back at the rich / conservatives etc. As we have discussed, what is their definition of rich? Some of the businesses they have robbed were owned by people who probably wouldnt see themselves as rich at all.
But yes - it is seen as a class war by a lot of people.
I will say this. If, for example, Labour got in and introduced taxes that (in my opinion) hurt me and my family more. Would I go out and loot a store in a measure of defiance?

You are absolutely spot on - that's exactly what I'm presuming. I am presuming that this is a bunch of out of control toerags out for some jollies cause they think they can get away with it. I would be very tempted to pay labour HQ a visit and put their windows in, as following the student riots they seemed to think it a legitimate form of protest.

I'm in Australia & have been reading this thread as a way to keep in touch with what's really happening back in blighty - and it's been a lot better than the official news.
