Shine is from Torquay, it always make me laugh how may of these bleeding-heart liberals comment from a safe distance, or are the grannies looting on the English Rivera now?
He carried a loaded gun FFS and was a drug pusher.
from or live ? see you have bullshit facts too, I spent the first 20 years of my life in Luton.... exactly where I am now.
Nothing to do with the "EDL" in Eltham. I'm sure there are some EDL sympathisers but it ain't EDL. Don't believe everything you read from numpties on Twitter.

Blimey, feel for you.
yep... which is why I moved to Devon to go university and better myself
So reading that guardian piece there are 2 possibilities here:
1. When the police stopped the mini cab Duggan didn't have the gun drawn and was executed. 2. When the police stopped teh mini cab Duggan drew, or had already drawn, his weapon and police shot him before he could kill one of them.
1 sounds unlikely, police are scored on arrests/convictions, so if he didn't have the gun drawn they would have no reason to fire.
Of course I'm sure some on here think the police do go out executing innocent people all the time...
Not a time for sociologists; they've failed already. I don't understand what motivates these misguided social heroes who always stand up for criminals while ignoring the victims. History will judge this era very harshly and it's not about governments; it's about a new generation of useless parents.
I'm in no way defending the scum that have been looting and vandalising cities across the country and neither am I defending a man carrying a gun capable of firing live ammunition. However serious questions have to be answered by the police. As a member of the public I would be extremely worried if the police killed a man when a shot had not been fired or if he was not about to use it. And even more worrying is this bullet that was lodged in the radio, initially we were told it had saved a policeman's life by being lodged there now we find out that bullet is police issue, how did it get there?
For quite a while I have lost faith in our police force (through my own experiences and through friends who are in the force) and this is incident is not doing anything to change those feelings.
This is all speculation. Frankly none of us know any more than
a) Duggan was shot dead by Police
b) Police fired two shots
c) One bullet believed to have been fired by the Police was lodged in a Police Officers radio
d) Duggan was carrying a loaded gun when stopped
What we don't know is did
1. Duggan attempt to fire the gun?
2. he make a move towards the gun which may have been interpreted as about to bring his gun to bear?
3. he threaten the life of members of the public
4. anything else happen which may have lead the Police Officer to believe that people were in danger and shoot him
I am concerned if he was "executed" in a "shoot to kill" way. Even though he was carrying a loaded gun, the law is clear that they cannot just shoot him dead, even if we might feel that he "deserved it". The IPCC's job with coroner is to establish what happened. If what happened is a prima facie crime, then the CPS will have to decide to prosecute.
Anyway, it's a pretty impressive turnout. I hope that Addicks & Millwall can both co-operate to keep any looting scumbags away from the Eltham/Welling/Bexley area and hopefully adjoining areas too. Great to see people standing up to the vermin - good work!
What WSS said. There not bothered about protecting our area. They know there's a chance of having a ruck. I want the rioters to get a slap as much as anyone but at the end of the day if the rioters don't turn up the millwall fans will prob start with the police
IPCC have now confirmed that no evidence that Mark Duggan fired on police. The bullet lodged in the police radio was police issue. Just reporting on BBC.
Are the police trying to insight more rioting?? Why announce that today?
Well I hope my open mind is now justified. Doubt anyone that gave me grief will acknowledge that though
Yeah, I noticed that. I think there's some on here that probably owe you an apology.
There are firms of football hoolies all over enfield 50 or so just got off at turkey street , 25 outside the George and the same at the pub in the market square

Ask for your money back - it hasn't worked.
You make statements based on conjecture or hearsay and with scant regard for any official statement. Opinions are personal and therefore cannot be wrong but if you want anyone to take that opinion seriously then it has to be based on evidence. The fact that so many people have spent their time on here trying to point out that your statements are wrong should tell you, both that CL posters are concerned about their communities and that your opinions gain little or no credence. I really don't like being negative but you seem to lack any capacity for rational thought.
sorry Shine166 but it was also confirmed that Duggan WAS carrying a gun as defined as a gun under the Firearms Act and that even though he didn't fire it there was a bullet in the chamber so he was preapred to fire it. What is a Policeman supposed to do, wait until he's been shot dead before returning fire. If Duggan hadn't been carrying the gun he'd be alive today. Simples.

My god, London's just been torched by gangs of feral youth, and you're worried about football lads mobbing up in Eltham to protect the area. Open your eyes.
