i'm expecting it through the letterbox without touching the sides, bounce off the doormat, slide along the hall, curl round the kitchen cupboard up onto the table within arms length whilst taking care not to disturb my breakfast.
I think there's quite a few ppl like me who will wait till the last min, well atleast until the next pay day before they renew.
I reckon we'll get up to 9k poss 9.5k, which aint that bad, if we do well poss increase up to 10k with some half season tickets
I hope your right but I thought it would make a better difference compared to last year. I know League one is not where this club should be but I thought the signings we made would attract a few doubters from the past 2 seasons.

Thing is because we read Charlton forums we are all aware of the daily goings on at the Club and how well we have been strengthening the squad. Whilst loads of us use forums id say its still a relatively small % of our core fan base and those who dont use them are probably unaware of the good things off the field.
My dad for example and a couple of mates didnt even know we had signed ANYONE until i mentioned it to them and are now seriously considering renewing. I think if we get off to a good start those who may casually attend the opening games may reconsider and buy a season ticket or at least aim to attend regularly.
Would it be worth the club sending out another mail shot to lapsed ST holders making them aware of the overhauled squad near to the start of the season?

Airman mentioned on another thread that the Club would be targeting lapsed ST holders, presumably with a mailshot.
And he should know as he's related to Ketman ; - )
What's coverage in the local media like these days? Will there be an open day for journos from local newspapers and the like? If not why not organise one - get the word out about the new squad and prospects for the coming season.
There is an ongoing and very proactive relationship with the local papers, which all have different limitations. No doubt there will be press days in the run-up to the season; I don't think a single event aimed at them all is the way to go or would make much impact in terms of extra coverage.

Ok I'm pleased that something's underway, looking at local newspapers they seem to carry less and less local news and with these signings there's a great story to be told.
Reams is supposed to deliver mine.... told me yesterday he was quitting as a postie, then I heard he was staying, yesterday he quit again, now he says he's staying... so really not sure if I will be getting it at all.

Sorry, I know we are in league one but we have potential now surely that will attract a few extra's for this season coming?

Don't fret, Disco.
The new buzz word around the Club is "patience" .
7,459 - short 400 on last season at this time and 1,300 on opening day 2010.

May I suggest splashing out and hiring a second person to work at the ticket counter then?
By the way, yesterday was the seat release / online deadline, which will have been a factor in the number sold.
We will be chasing the others down!
