Funny that such a supposedly poor player with such low ability is said to be moving to a club in a higher division. Charlton Eyes again.
Personally I think we have a better balanced CM pair already in JJ and DH and who knows who else might come in some the TEAM will be stronger without him but a little perspective is needed here.
Remember how Ambrose, Varney and Iwelumo were dismissed in similar terms by our fans yet all managed to stay in the game, two of them in the Prem
One thing you definitely need to play for Millwall is cahones and TR has a very small pair IMHO. The fans will sniff that fact out in about ten minutes and will be on his case from that moment. I genuinely wish him success but can't see it happening for him there.
Like Lloyd Sam at Leeds, he will disappear without trace. Millwall fans like a hard working player who puts his foot in when it gets tough. He is the opposite. He's a lightweight, plays tippy tappy football and has no end product.
As previously pointed out in other threads, Racon & Semedo will sign for the clubs who offer them the most money and the longest deal. Forget the "I want to play for Charlton for life" comments. Players are loyal to whoever pays for the next contract.
Looks like I am in the minority here, but I think its a shame that he has gone...........one of our better footballers and just hope we aren't left with McOxo to gill the gap left with Racon leaving.
I wish him well & expect him to do an Ambrose & set The Championship alight
So of you can't see talent when its staring you in the face...............
I think the problem is we could see his talent, what we did not see is him use it enough. he had the potential to be the best creative midfielder in the division but until the end he never showed it, the team rarely looked worse off without him. Like Rommedahl and Ambrose the disappointment is that we never saw enough of what we knew is there
So we have lost our top performing palyer on Statbank over a significant bumber of games- Our best performing player on Statbank over fewer games, One of our best players the season before last, Our player of the year last season and possibly our player of the year for this season. Looking good then!
They found a heart during his medical? And some testicles?
Blimey. Millwall's medical department did a fine job.
Quality - they'll discover his nose is actually an aubergine and their's a prayer mat where his danglers are supposed to be. Good riddance to the show pony i say.
I have to be honest. Whilst on one hand I am glad to see him gone.... as he did bugger all for us. I disagree with a lot of posters on here and I think he will do well at Millwall. The problem we have at Charlton, we have never got the best out of most players. As Ben says look at the players who have left us since... Varney, Iluwemo etc etc. same with Shelvey...... I can't help but think Jackett will get more out of hime than us. As much as I feel hard to say it I actually "enjoyed" watching Millwall play in the last 2 years they were in this Division than I have for the last 8yrs watching our tugrid football where our passing was abysmal, our defending shoddy, our strikers piss poor. We are behind on Millwall on this. It will take time but we will get there and be as good as Millwall but it will take about 2/yrs.
Sorry, I simply cannot fathom the amount of love and devotion showered on Semedo and Racon. No goals, not much effort, no nothing from what I have seen. You know what, they should have been sold 2 years ago and we should have kept Spring.
I remember opening day against Scunthorpe when Racon was introduced as 'our new signing' during the time when Pardew thought he was the nouveau Arsene Wenger, if it's French, sign it,( remember Matouakil?, if that's how you spell it). Racon looks and plays like little boy blue and I cannot belive that Jackett is interested in him. Powell ... do not offer this fraud a new contract under any circumstances.
A bit disappointing, a player it looked like we were finally getting the best out of. It's easy to blame it all in him but he was never going to fit in when we mainly played an absolutely woeful style of football and it's no surprise he looked near his best when we were playing the 4-5-1 under Parky with Shelvey and with Powell trying to get us to play football.
I had started to come round to keeping Racon over Semedo as well, more rounded as a player. Mikel Alonso sounds like more than a good enough replacement though if that story is true. Although by the sounds of it, if he's not running around the pitch hacking people whilst having a touch of class he might not be well liked either.
where has all this talk of millwall fans not being a patient as us come from - they may well be inbreed thugs but they are a lot more patient with theyre team than we are with ours, they understand where they are and where theyve come from. They dont think they're a 'big club' and arn't deluded like the vast majority of our fans.
I'm sorry to see him go but only because I think he's been a wasted talent, but to be honest don't think we'll miss him, i'd rather have a player who performs 6-7/10 every week than one who performs 9/10 for 2 weeks then 3-4/10 for the rest of the season

but how long will jackett be there for? Racon will be part of the team that sees them back in league 1.
I am pleased he's gone, i think he flatters to deceive, never consistantly good enough just marginally better than the rest of the cack weve had in recent years. This leaves space for us to bring in a quality midfielder who can create, tackle and score on a regular basis. I have similar opinions regarding Semedo however i can't fault his work rate, unlike Racon. Its now down to the board to put their money where their mouths are and bring in a decent replacement.COYR!

wonder if it will ever be confirmed on the CAFC Official Site? Same as will we ever announce that Anyinsah, Reid etc have been released. All this wait until 1st July guff is just that, guff. Racon has signed a contract from 1st July. If we have done the same then why not tell us ?

The clear-out continues....whos next?
Is it only me that cringes when people call them wall. Cant stand it when the spanners say it let alone other supporters.
As others have said he does have talent in there its just we dont see enough of it.
Im fully expecting him to become a top player now & do an ambrose under new coaching

Usual rubbish on here when one of our better players joins a rival for peanuts (see Darren Ambrose)
On his day a cut above, but didnt have his day often enough but to say we wont miss him is quite frankly ludicrous.
Think he will do well at The Den as long as he dodges the bananas down there.
