  • yeah says on Sky Sports transfer centre that racon close to doing a deal! having a medical BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO racon
  • and I opened this hoping it was going to be another thinly dissguised thread about the Paul Hayes rumour
  • what spanner you are racs
  • Agent Therry.
  • Couldnt care less as long as he aint staying here

They wont put up with his bottling of challenges for too long.......

  • Typical of Millwall to be signing more heavyweight neanderthal thugs just to  intimidate the opposition.

Technically brilliant, Racon was only ever interested in the money and only performed well in the last six matches before his contract expired.

As my 84 yar old Dad said when Racon was announced as the impact substitute in the 0-0 bore against Hartlepool.

    "Terry who"??

  • Any player that doesnt want to play for us can feck off as far as im concerned.  Potentially a very good player but never been consistent for us.

Watch him now do an Ambrose at South London rivals.

  • He'll get pelters when we play them, I reckon
  • oh yeah the so called friendly!!!!!!!!!!!
  • If 3 or more of the midfielders we've been linked with come off I couldn't give two hoots!

  • Think of all the success we have had under TR and work out how much we will miss him.
  • Promised so much delivered very little don't forget he was here for 4 years - should have been one of the top midfielders in the division - can pass and tackle and is comfortable on the ball but went missing far too often and never imposed himself in the game like a central midfielder should.  Had the inconsistency of a winger but in the centre where it is a luxury we can ill afford - add to that his high wages then happy to let him go - so what if its to Millwall - couldn't care less where he ends up - lets move on
  • Agree East Kent Addick...don't think he'll be missed much. Four seasons and not a lot to show for it. Forget the Millwall thing, he's a professional making a career move.
  • Excellent news. With any luck he'll send them down a division or two as well.

I think it's funnier he's going to Millwall, not something to be bitter about... and they are all lauding his signing!

Around about the highest earner at the club on circa £6k pw, goes missing for games at a time, doesn't get stuck in enough, doesn't score or assist enough goals, doesn't really have a "role" beyond aesthetic tricks and flicks, refused outright to play on the left under Parkinson and therefore got dropped (great display of professionalism there)... oh and the team has done well during his stay!

    Good riddance!
  • Oh well...thanks and goodbye.

Didn't like the way his game improved as he neared the end of his contract.

  • I'm probably one of the ones who rate Racon, thought he was one of our better players last year, and he improved alot when he was put onto the left.

But even though he is joining Millwall I can't say I'm particularly bothered about it, don't know why, probably because I have given up hoping to see the consistent Racon who can create and score goals, but we've never quite seen it.

Not too bothered hes gone/going as long as he is replaced, can be half decent when he shows up. I don't like either of them but rather
him sign for Millwall then Palace.
  • THANK GOD

Couldn't of picked a better team for him to go to.

Awful player, bad first touch, never scores, can't run.

  • We're all starting to sound like Ipswich fans talking about Darren Bent

Apart from the fact Darren Bent was good and had a decent record for Ipswich!
  • They can have the show pony. He only plays well one in three games.
  • "Awful player, bad first touch, never scores, can't run"

A pretty fair assessment of him really.
I've been watching some of the CONCACAF Gold Cup and he's even worse for Guadeloupe than he is for us.

I sometimes wonder who the scouts are for these clubs, because i can't believe any Millwall scout has seen him have a good game and thought 'he could do a job for us'.
  • Liked Racon for us over the last two seasons, and I'm just worried that this seems to be happening quickly and for us we've been "connected" with this [p;layer and that player and actually it's all coming to nothing.

SO we've got players going out and f*ck all coming in at the moment.

Yeh that left a bad taste in my mouth as well

I think there will be a clutch of signings done at pretty much the same time.

Unfortunately it's just what the situation re. holidays/agents/end of current contract lends itself to.

I'd imagine that within 14 days or so we will have as many as half a dozen in, possibly with a mass 1 July announcement - we know there are several players who are pretty far down the line.
  • I'm in the not bothered camp aswell but can't help but think he will be another Ambrose and end up scoring/setting up bundles
  • Good riddance Terry Crapon!

  • You have to laugh at the latest SLP tweet as well. Two clubs "on their manor" and Sky have just run the story without the SLP having a clue!

    RichCawleySLP Richard Cawley
Rumours that Therry Racon is on his way from #cafc to #millwall. We've got our best men on it to see if we can find out more.

  • The question for me is whether or not for the £6k a week we allegedly paid Racon we can get as consistently good or better.

I personally think we can. If Millwall want to pay him £6k a week or close to it let them do it.
