Announced 'with regret' so the club seems unhappy about it ... however I tend to agree with Henry on this one, he probably decided that he had fulfilled the role he was brought in for, and I would imagine has now had a similar offer from elsewhere.
Good luck to him ... seems he did a good job for us.
He is to going into a joint venture with Millwall & Palace to set up a crowd scouting scheme.
He just tweeted "I am very excited by this as it will give me the chance to get close to both sets of fans, in fact they are all coming round my house for dinner tonight"

Maybe he was there to help with what was going to be a massive recruitment - and now it has happened he may still be available to advise but we are looking at a different situation.
To be honest, does anyone know what he brought to the table? Seems to me that most (if not all) our signings were players that CP and his staff had targeted.
The only exception might be Alonso and that's hardly worked out up til now.
I'd imagine that the majority of players that Jeff has in his radar are currently too high a standard for our level, so I'm not completely shocked about this.
football world has been so impressed by the recuitments made by Charlton over the last 6 months and some big boy has made him an offer he can't refuse?
or
his one and only input was alonso and therefore we don't need him?
or
something bizzarre involving his brother, a coach, a shower, a players wife or any other type of combination = probably best to refer to a west ham board for the full array.
Sorry to hear this - I'm sure he played his part in the excellent player recruitment that has happened since the takeover, and for that he has my thanks.
The guy in recent years does not seem to have stayed in one place very long. He was our overseas scout and part time youth coach up to 2006, joined West Ham (with Curbs) Jan 2007, by end of 2007 season was with Real Madrid, from Jan 2008 to Feb 2010 enjoyed that notorious spell at Newcastle then fitted in a brief spell as Head Scout at Crystal Palace before joining Villa as Chief Scout in November 2010 only to return to us in March 2011. Assuming he is now off to join someone else that will be 8 organisations in 5/ 6 years.
I have no knowledge of the man but he clearly has something about him to be appointed to all those positions. As to his departure I suspect we may well have realigned our strategy.
At the time of his recruitment there was mention of mirroring or linking to the Udinese playing/ business model. Perhaps after further evaluation they have found the model is not as attractive from either a playing or financial perspective as first thought.
I am sure we will have benefitted from his vast knowledge of the market and his input into any restructuring of the scouting network however the role may simply no longer be as attractive to him as first envisioned.
I am sure he has made a contribution to our regeneration and he deserves our thanks and best wishes for that.

Here's mine. Came in to set up the scouting network (not pick players for Powell) which has now been done so he's off.
That's my conspiracy.

My feelings exactly, Henry
Maybe
He has met the most beautful girl in the world and is going to travel the world in his little red corvette
That girl's also wearing a raspberry beret and he just wants her extra time and her kiss
probably works on comission, and most of the cash deals are done, so why stay?
