From what i read on here and on bbc. We couldnt get the ball of a team who keeps the ball well and gave it away cheaply when we had which ment more shot and more chances
to many players just not pulling there weight
Saddest thing is I don't think any of us are that surprised or devastated tonight, just numbness as we've been through it too many times before.
Said on the match thread I'd like Slater and co to come out with a statement on what their plans are and why we should fork out £375 to renew our season tickets.
I would love to know the reasoning behind the team selection. The 2 guys most likely to grab a goal - BWP and Eccleston are both on the bench. Looking at other results, I think it is highly unlikely that we will reach the play offs now.
But one thought strikes me from the commentary. Baldock came on as a sub at 49 mins - and I'd swear his name was heard more than any other Dons player in the second half , culminating in his injury time goal. We were chasing the game but waited until 73 mins before making a change.
Be interested to know what those who were there thought about the substitions and the delay in making them.
AFKA mate save yourself some grief do the old Jurno trick and instead of writing a "whats gone wrong thread" dig out one of the old ones(not so old) for Dowie or Reed or Pardew or Parkinson and just put CPs name on it.
[cite]Posted By: Red5[/cite]I'd like to ask CP why he started Benson in place of BWP who has scored 6 in 8 FFS. Shit decision and I'm starting to think CP is not up to it.
Think BWP wasn't properly fit. Think it was to do with his knees.

And team has been sluggish so probably wanted fresh legs and a change of formation. Didn't work out but at least he's not afraid to have a go.
Totally predictable, what else is there left to say?
That's 10 games into the new Chris Powell era - which so many on here were so gushingly effusive about - and it seems to me that we have gone backwards at an alarming rate.
Could Parkinson really have done much worse than this? Really? How many times under him did we lose five out of six games?
Ive just got back from a cold and very frustrating night at Stadium MK.
Firstly let me say that up until they scored their goal we were the better side in the second half ( it was pretty even in the first) . Our counter attacking play was excellent especially from Reid and Racon but it was always pretty fruitless when the manager decides to put our best player on the bench!!
Benson wont score playing those tactics as long as he has a hole in his arse. I don't know if BWP had an injury and that's the reason he was dropped if he didnt you really have to ask questions of Powell.
Secondly we will lose far more games than we win with people like Francis and McCormack in the team. Ive been defending Francis all season but now i have realised i cant any more. He was dreadful tonight . He gave the ball away nearly ever time he got it and yet again his mistake lead to another goal. He is just a very bad player and there is no more to say on that subject. McCormack is nearly as bad . he also gave the ball away when is seemed easier to pass to a red shirt . He also pulls out of too many tackles.
Wagstaff was pretty anonymous too and hes been like that for months . He's far too lightweight. The rest of the team did quite well.
As someone said before , you cant make a silk purse out of a sows ear and this team is just not good enough but it doesn't help when you don't pick the best player we have.
Forget worrying about promotion - That ain't happening , if we continue with this form we not only could but WILL get relegated, 1 point in 18 is relegation form and with some really tough games coming up you cant help but worry.
I'm fully behind Powell but he seriously has to start looking to cull this side as soon as possible and bring in players that are of a much higher quality than the caliber of of Francis and Mccormack.
Despite a much improved performance for 60 minutes tonight , this really is the worst side i have ever seen wear the shirt and something has to be done sooner rather than later.
[cite]Posted By: JT[/cite]Saints home and away is going to be horrible.
The rest of the season is going to be horrible, we will slide down the table now like in the Championship, bad times and going backwards (again)!! This is so bad.
ah man, an entire day at the doctors and i come home to see that scoreline as the first thing to hit me in the face on sky sports news, sickened. absolutely sickened. one point from the last 18, and is it just me or did Leyton Orient just pop out of nowhere on the table? Maybe it was just me concentrating on the teams above us too much and the games in hand.
Its gone so wrong in such a short amount of time, how I miss 7th place in the Premier League...
What really angers me is the fact that MK Dons were there for the taking tonight. They aren't that good I assure you, and they gave us the ball on several occasions but we just had no idea in the final third.

You could have said the same for Hartlepool/Exeter/Tranmere/Carlisle/Notts County
Well I am angry and tired but I am not going to lose faith in CP. I am pretty disgusted with some who started to boo the team during the game.
As for the match, well it was an evenish first half. We were slow out of the blocks as usual and MKD did what most teams do against us. They pressed us and denied us space when we had the ball so the temptation was to try to hit long balls, or hurry our passing into mistakes.
Francis had an absolute mare. He missed tackles, his passing and crossing was woeful. Clearly he is short of confidence, indeed the whole team is lacking confidence.
Best performer for me was Jenkinson for 90% of the game, although even he became afflicted with the jitters by the end.
Semedo was strong again and Racon was his usual mixture of quality and laziness.
Waggy tried his best but he wasn't helped by the hapless Francis. Reid flattered to deceive on a few occasions but I can't believe if he looked at himself in the mirror, he would be happy with his overall performance.
Benson made very little impact on the game of the right kind. The sending off was nailed on after he miss controlled the ball and launched himself two footed at their player.
Llera and Dailly were solid enough.
BWP and Eccleston were just not able to get into the game. I think they should have been brought on as soon as we went a goal down.
Tonight though it was a case of eleven players not making a team.
[cite]Posted By: Clem_Snide[/cite]The lack of traffic on here tonight is telling.
People dont give a monkeys at the moment.
The sooner this season ends the better.
Not sure I can bring myself to hand over the season ticket money at the moment.
You are wrong mate. I wasn't there, but nonetheless I'm just numb at what has happened recently.
Bedaddick was there and I respect his views. I think we need some answers over why BWP didn't start and as to how McOxo could ever get a start.
I care deeply about each and every Charlton result. Any true fan would feel the same.
Another thing which hit me tonight was the fact that McCormack is our main corner taker. If he is the best we have from the team playing tonight, that seriously underlines how much we lack creative players. The man should never wear a Charlton shirt again, yet he is our set piece expert. Joke.

Its going to be devistating if we lose especially as my uncle is trying to make him Palace

I think Peterborough could go a similar route as we did last season and end up losing out in Play offs due to defensive problems.
It least it's not with Pardew as their manager. That I would not have been able to stand.
Its gone so wrong in such a short amount of time, how I miss 7th place in the Premier League...
Its what Ive always said, basics basics basics. and we really need to work on the basics
You could have said the same for Hartlepool/Exeter/Tranmere/Carlisle/Notts County
Been a problem all season.
Best part of the night - comfy seats!

What is it? getting the cafc site with an error page.
And how do you do the proper yellow shaded quotes on this?
