  • So, folks ...... what has our Nate had for breakfast this morning?
  • This is a seriously embarrassing thread and makes a lot of our fans look like proper asses imo.
  • I dont know oggy... I've unfollowed the eejit. He's just too young for me to cope with.
  • Asses
  • why mart? if he puts stuff out there its open to interpretation. The lad is unhappy at Charlton I personally think thats quite obvious. But hopefully he will get playing time and the club sort out his accommodation.

I was wondering when he said he was looking at flats in Chislehurst... do you think there are problems because it would be a less than six month lease? Dont we own flats in Eltham any more?
  • we are more larner road in erith now, we havent been eltham since curbs left.

The amount of jumping to conclusions going on is ridiculous. Every tweet he makes is getting analysed, and nearly always analysed in a negative manner. The guy is having to constantly explain what he's tweeting about. He talked about needing to have a serious talk and some people jumped to the immediate conclusion that he was copping an attitude and some even suggested he should be sent back. Based on nothing other than saying he needed to have a serious chat. It could have been related to a million things in his life. The only thing I've seen is that he's unhappy staying in a hotel on his own and who could blame him, nobody would like that. I've seen nothing else negative from him and in fact he seems to want to do well for us so the criticism and speculation, to me, seems ridiculous.

With regard to his housing situation it's disappointing that it hasn't been sorted yet. I'd hope that some of the senior players have offered to put him up for a few weeks.
  • There is certainly some obsessive behaviour demonstrated on this thread.

And it's not coming from Ecclestone.

    ;o)

I am of the opinion he threw his toys out of the pram last week and will stand by that from what I have heard. Regardless of whether that is obsessive behaviour, jumping to conclusions etc etc. Hopefully he has listened to what has been said and going to crack on and help us.

Probably didnt help him being listed as Matthew Eccleston on the teamsheet and annoucned as that when he came on.

So is he Eccleston or Ecclestone?

    I'm confused!
  • son of Bernie.
  • Whoops amended, Matthew.
  • Recent tweets: "Another 3 points another good result at home fans was immense once again.. Good personally performance even if I do say so myself :p"

"Thanks to all the charlton fans congratulating on my performance use we're superb today!! Bring on tuesday"

But still feeling lonely: "Seriously contemplating goin nando's on my own again, the joys of living in #london on my own haha lucy on #takemeout is desperate bad !!"
  • Can't argue with any of that. He's spot on about Lucy!
  • I read that Chris Powell said that he is glad players are knocking on his door to play.

I think that the club could do with sorting out the housing situation and to integrate him at the club. You know, he is a kid away from familiar surroundings, maybe he is just a little bit homesick. Its normal but it passes. The club needs to provide a bit of support here. We don't want to see no funny headlines about the player getting himself in trouble. He is a good player and definitely a good addition to the team. You think some of the other senior professionals in the club could help out here - alongside some of the other younger players.

It was great play for the second goal.
  • Agree with you Vff, living in a hotel becomes a bit dull. He needs to get on to Charlton Life ;)
  • Just hope he doesn't tweet anything again that the good people on here don't understand. Otherwise they'll all be demanding he gets sent back again.

    Now that would depress him
  • I guess it's best he does his talking on the pitch, I watched the FLS this morning , the movement and passing for one of our goals ( involving Nathan) was brilliant.

    He already does
  • There's only one Nathan on CL...
  • If you're reading this, Nathan - well done yesterday!

from what I heard yesterday it is his fault and his only that he is still holed up in a hotel. Funny that Beccone and BWP have managed to sort out other accommodation with the help of the Club but he hasn't. Me doth think he protests too much.
  • Being kicked out the Marriott! Not sure why?

    Really? Doesn't sound too good....
  • Must be pricy staying there every night even if there is a discount for longterm residents.

Maybe the Club has decided enough is enough and suggested alternative accommodation elsewhere.
  • Maybe it's all the Nandos takeaways he leaves in his room
  • It is £110 per night and he can't ask the club to keep paying he's said.
  • Surely they could have worked out a long term reduced price.
