I think its quite funny how everyone is so suddenly calm about throwing away a 2 goal lead, if parky was still here the finger pointing would be in full flow now....!!! Dont get me wrong its a decent enough result,

Onwards and upwards!!
Circumstances have changed, we're in a period of transition now and so any fan with half an ounce of sense is happy to give some slack. Especially away to Wednesday. If Parky was still here then yes it would be different and deservedly so.
It's all been said above but we do need strengthening down the spine. CB and a midfielder who can control the game are priorities. How about Fry at CB?
NE39 Nathan Eccleston
Somtimes draws feel like a loss.. But I fink a point away from home is positive gives us somthing to build on!! Glad to make my debut 4 CAFC
As already posted a commanding CB is the priority. If there is some money available I would rather push the boat out for a commanding young centre half because with what we have already in other areas I think we could cope. Need to act this week because our defence is without doubt our achilles heel.
Not going down the 'it that had been under Parky' road but maybe this shows the game of two halves was as much down to the players as the boss. Still some nervousness there perhaps.
If CP can get them playing without fear I think he will be halfway there.
How abour getting another LB in and moving fry to CH? Has pace and movement.
Hmm that idea is viable Henry but I like Fry's crossing and that would be wasted at CB... he might suffer from a bit of positional naivety there as well but I suppose you don't know until you try!

Fry is predominantly a CB, FACT.
strange comment... I am aware of that I was merely stating that I wouldn't want to lose his contribution from LB
Isaw, would depend on getting a LB with good crossing. Lewington maybe.
Anyway Powell was there to see it today, will no doubt be watching a lot of vids from other games and picking the brains of others who've watched the team.

I think Matty believes that his position is CB and that he is playing LB to get games.
good point really! held on well beacause they was hammering us for a long time, and both us and wednesday could have won it near the end! chrissy powell may look at that game and think charlton hate half times!! yeah as people are saying on here, a CB and AM are a must! does anyone though if lee martin has gone back to ipswich coz parky's sacking and paul jewell being there new boss
[cite]Posted By: nth london addick[/cite] forget about what if parky this what if parky that..
this needs to be a new regime a new start for all that includes us
Seconded, NLA. You have to wish we could move beyond 'if Parky was still here people would be finger-pointing over dropping two points' type posts.
Actually, when you are two-nil up at half-time, you have to see any game as two points dropped. Whoever the manager is.
Personally, I'm relieved their shot at the end hit the post. After all his decades of service, Peacock would not have deserved to have retired with a 100 per cent record of two defeats out of two. He goes out with his head held high.
Although we should have won, I'm not displeased because everything is now set up for our first win in more than two months in Sir Chris's first game next Sat , in front of a packed Valley which will be rocking.
And if anybody says, 'Plymouth are a good team, so let's moderate our expectations and not load too much pressure on Powell in his first game', I shall scream. Football is a game about expectations and pressure and dreams and emotion and wearing it on your sleeve. Can't wait for next Saturday. It's going to be a very special ocassion of the kind that comes to the Valley once in a very, very long blue moon.
this steveBHA is really such a disappointment, I have always felt well disposed towards Brighton, for reasons mentioned many time on CL before...I really hope Steve is a one off because he is single handedly beginning to manage to make me dislike everything about Brighton. SteveBHA you are a complete embarassment to a decent club and other decent fans, in fact you're a wanaker and you should crawl back into your sea shell and count your pubes.
I've heard that eddie howe has had another change of mind and has rung asking if the job at the Valley is still open. Slater is thinking it over.
NLA, agree we have to move on from 'if parky was still here...' Which is why I said I wasn't going down that road. Fact remains it is still an issue for Howe when he takes over.

Surprised this took 32 posts to be honest.
Move on.

Always good to be reminded we are a big club and have our counterparts turn up on here
We just ignored him.
PEACOCK OUT
Just had a twitter (from some bloke called Dan Roan) which suggests this may be happening as we speak, Salad.
That's two managers the new owners have already gone through in a week and a half.
I do hope they've got someone else lined up and it's not that Dennis Wise...
