[cite]Posted By: bigstemarra[/cite]I judge Parkinson based on how he got the team playing football (or not) and our record against 'weaker' sides. We lucked our way to a decent league position as far as I can see it, with the odd good performance tucked in amongst some utter shite that had our crowds rapidly dwindling. It was so bad that many die hard lifers were considering just not going to the Valley any more due to the soul destroying, humiliating ritual that it had become. Things clearly were not working and we needed a change. Try going back to some of the threads from a few weeks ago and have a reality check. We could not afford to sack Parky before, but now it looks like we can, so we have. Best wishes to the bloke, but I am glad that he will now be taking his 'aimless punting up to the big man who isn't particularly suited for it' brand of football elsewhere because it was killing our club slowly by boring our supporters to death.
So on that basis there are quite a few managers 'with lower credentials than Eddie Howe' that I would have welcomed with open arms. Tisdale and Johnson to name but two. Of course, there is absolutely no guarantee that either would be succesful, as there is no guarantee that our next manager will be succesful, whoever they are. But I differ from you in that I think sticking with Parky would have been a good idea for the reasons above. He did well building the squad that he did on next to know cash, but can you name any player, with the possible exception of Jackson, who he has actually got the best out of? I really don't think that he was capable of doing so, so I want someone else to have a crack at it.
P.S I put FACT after my post because this is CL and that is what you do when you are being sarcastic. FACT.
So everything you've said is said in sarcasm which therefore means that you do agree with me.
[cite]Posted By: robroy[/cite]God are you guys actually giving this numpty the light of day. Haha I have seen some rubbish written on here over the last week.
I reacted to some of the insulting comments. Endured some the lowest form of wit by some pointing out written punctuality mistakes whilst they continued to make theirs.
Its like when you read texts badly translated from Japanese to English.
The intentions are there but the words are just ever so amiss...
