So Einstein I want to know why Slater is pants so far?
The board made the decision to sack Parky, not Slater alone. How do we know that RM hasn't wanted to out him since the failures of last season but until Slater/Jimenez came along, there wasn't the dosh?
RM has been leading the Boards attempt to get in Howe by all accounts.
It is possible to make a cogent case for Parky never to have been given the permanent managers position after Pardew left. There have been countless opportunities to sack Parky for poor management decisions/performance over the last two seasons.
When a new regime comes in, it almost certainly will have a fairly sceptical view of the existing management regime. The main criticism of Slater is his initial comments about working with Parky. My guess is that RM and PV could have argued successfully to keep him but have not been greatly impressed by the teams performances even if the results have meant the club being on a decent run. So after the shambolic performance against Swindon, I think that galvanised the board into action.
Most on here think that Wise was lined up. It doesn't look as if he was. So we are in limbo with Keefy in charge pro-temps. Frankly our points total during this "managerless" period may not be great. On the other hand it the graph of Parkys results in the last five games wasn't too brilliant either.
In the end the Board have to decide, is it in the better long term interest of the club to bring in a new manager or soldier on with the incumbent? It's easy as a cyber-warrior to claim you know what's best even if you are Einstein and have a brain the size of a planet, especially when it's not your money.
I don't think that we are yet in a position to judge the new regime. Cut them some slack is my advice.
NB Slater didn't lie IMO, he changed his mind after seeing us unable to beat 10 men twice in a week & then getting mullered at home by Swindon, with the fans leaving in their thousands.
Please can you change the thread title? My pet hate is for people that cannot differentiate between 'your' and you're'. It's almost as bad as 'their', 'there' and 'they're'! It will drive me mad looking at it every time I log on.

Isn't there somebody else that does this on this forum? Just can't think who....

Parkinson had to go, for me he never was really accepted by the supporters, lost us promotion last year with all the chopping and changing. Please do not read into what I wrote, It's easy to talk, but it's harder for the likes of the new owners to actually make the right decisions, If anyone really took my words as gospel, how lame is that. I was merely just provoking. Keith Peacock will no doubt put in no less than 110% of work commitment into the side. any quick and rash decision by any board would be as mental as first comments.
