  • proud to and yes he made some cracking saves just that the first goal it was hit then bounced before him so fancied him to get that.
  • was in the home bit along the side near the away end - our support was very loud and continuous throughout. big game for us, small for them so obviously we are going to be more up for it but even so, we were very loud and i was well impressed and fella next to me kept trying to explain it away to his girlfriend why we were so loud and them so quiet.Team did well first half, modric started pulling strings in second and he and defoe destroyed us for 10 minutes. thought we should have got mcormack off sooner and reid on quicker as we weren't offering anything going forward at that point - Mcormack still bottling things and ineffective. sub was 10 minutes too late. racon and anyinsah were good, semedo does was he always does but so limited when in possession. all in all i thoroughly enjoyed it.

well gutted when it went in but i dont wanna blame anyone.

    spuds worst fans in country
  • modric best player ive seen live
  • i sat in the corner in the spurs end at the same end as our fans were and we were quiet from where i sat and spurs were loud , especially with their "one ginger pele" chant
so i suppose it just depends where you sit .... the bouncy bouncy looked good but i couldn't hear it

spurs made 9 changes from their last game , so they went easy on us thankfully, modric was class

we done ok but i don't think spurs bothered getting out of first gear much
  • Brilliant day out,
Great support and good effort from coaches and the players.
Can we know make the Valley a noisy fortress and make it hard for teams in the league to play at?

We certainly didn't lay down and die and that is all you can realistically ask when third division plays 1st division. If Cudicini had not been on such good form and, say, Jacko's and/or Reid's shots had gone in we might have been inspired to nick something from the game.

It was utterly predictable Defoe would do for us as he invariably does once we bait him with the Judas, greedy bastard chants etc. I find it incredible that Andros Townsend is only 19. The difference between Prem youngsters and 3rd division youngsters.

All in all we can hold our heads up and get back to the real business of gaining promotion.

i was sitting right by our fans, upper tier along the side - all you could hear was us - i guess your right and people saying spurs fans, worst in country is soppy really - we all know the score - big game for us, small for them, same as when luton came to us.tedious really.
  • townsend was quality - never heard of him before but he wrapped fry in knots and was easily their best player in the first half.

    yeah good player
  • Was on loan at Ipswich a couple of weeks ago, he played RB or LB 4 thm
  • Says a lot you havent heard of him before

    Fair enough day out.
  • On paper 3-0 looks bad but not when you consider that Spurs are probably one of the best sides in the country at present. ManU are winning games by virtue of luck and sympathic referees and Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are all underperforming.
  • whys it say alot mate?
  • J_Shelvey Jonjo Shelvey
Support was amazing today! Shame about the result but its something too build on , we will get through this as a unit , come on liverpool!
  • If you know your football how can you not know/heard of Townsend?

seriousy i hadnt heard of him before today. ill hold my hands up to that, was very impressed by him. know my football but didnt know bout him.
  • Fight, passion and commitment. All of them played for the shirt today despite their obvious inferior ability. Francis was like Mancini in parts of that first half.

Did us proud today as did the fans. Great day despite the inevitable result.

    Well done Charlton.

Townsend was on loan at the O's, looked good quality there.

Sick of reading about peoples opinions on here yet they know nowt about players who play for teams in our league.

    Wise in.

    Yeah righto.
  • Reckon his name is actually Andy Townsend, just trying to sound a bit more 'continental'. He's some player
  • Good day out

    On way home

    Drunk
  • Francis and McCormack getting some praise - could they turn out to be good players for us, just needed a better manager to get the best out of them?

sorry statto, must get my programme and read it back to front before i offer up any more opinions.
  • he was at yeovil as well good player townsend, the yids youth teams play behind my house and i watch loads of their games Townsend has been a well educated footballer and will do well, highly thought of at the club
  • Didn't we try to get Townsend on loan last year before he went to MK Dons after Orient ?

Harry just said on ITV he is due for a loan again .
  • we played really well. Racon and Semedo were both excellent. Waggy looked improved on recent weeks. Francis got forward well but final ball let him down.
