Agree! What have we been doing in training since Swindon & Peterboro! There's no passion at all. If Parkinson can't get these players motivated then he might as well play the youth team.
Wasn't terrible. I didn't expect us to go there and just outplay Brentford just because we're Charlton. Brentford have beaten us before, just beaten both Colchester and Southampton 2-0. They're on form and confident.
4-5-1 isn't ideal with out players but we had played 2 days ago and it perhaps helped Racon and Semedo out having the extra man in there.
It's a close league, there's not a huge gap between us and (currently) a mid table side like Brentford. We worked harder, competed, closed down, things we didn't on Saturday.
Got to do better going forward but nothing to panic about. Abbott needed support but Anyinsah and Benson probably needed a rest.
Back to 4-4-2 Saturday, I'm confident that will improve things.
Disappointed we're out, was a real chance to go to Wembley. Missing three penalties in a row more embarrassing than playing at Wembley in the JPT. I know not everyone sees it like that.
I actually think some of our players think they are better than they actually are. Trying clever passes and flicks, ambitious efforts etc.
If we just go back to basics, pass the way we're facing, pass to feet, run into space then there is enough qualify in the squad, in this league at least, to be successful.
are we still unbeaten though? like our victory at stamford bridge didn't count when we knocked them out on penalties and the media said how they were still unbeaten there since about 1922.
[quote][cite]Posted By: sunce mamino malo[/cite]Last time we played Tootenham was under Les Read and we lost 5-1 (is that correct?). Why would you be worried? Such pessimism![/quote]
Have played them at home since on that heartbraking night at the valley.

mind you, it's our first 0-0 forever and if our unbeaten run stands, well no one should really be having a moan on a football fans' forum. plenty of other places for that sort of thing.

Had we won, we would've been 2 games away from Wembley and 3 from the paint consolation crown. Those extra games would not have come without a price, most importantly, could prevent us getting out of this crap League. So let's take this standard kick in the teeth and concentrate on Hartlepool and the two biggies following.

[cite]Posted By: jazzyjazzyjazzy[/cite]Wasnt bad penalties really, their keeper was indeed spiderman
Jackson has shot both his last two penalties straight down the middle so it was obvious that the keeper just had to stand there and would save it. The other two were reasonable penalties though and fullmarks to the keeper

Wouldve been nice to win and maybe get to Wembley but I dont feel gutted we lost, lets just get on with trying to get out of this league, that is THE most important aim this season and if we do we wont have to worry about the paint pot next season anyway!
[cite]Posted By: jazzyjazzyjazzy[/cite]Dear oh dear am I worried playing Tottenham!
Health comes first. Would not like anyone becoming ill worrying about the Spurs game, though there are enough people who would take a spurs ticket off your hands ;-)
Best way to create chances is to put crosses in early.
One time Racon did it tonight and Martin really should've scored that header. It's also what Still keeps saying about getting the best from Benson.
We've seemed to have gone back to trying the spectacular instead of doing the basics.
We need to be better on set pieces, they've been pretty bad since god knows when, most teams use set pieces as a chance, when we have one it doesn;t feel that way.
Our strikers or anyone with a chance on goal just put your foot through it and see what happens, delaying it only gives defenders time to get back.
Ayinsah/Benson partnership when I've seen it doesn't work as it means Benson tries to win headers when he isn't built for that. Our biggest strength is the pace down the wings use them to get crosses in!
Thought that was an ok performance with two well matched sides. Bar the last five mins of the game, nil nil was more than a fair result. Would have taken that in October. Pens are always a lottery, so fair play to Brentford.
If we had lost in a rip roaring match with lots of chances and the keeper playing out of his skin but no we were poor, not as poor as Sunday but poor and we now need to regroup and get our promotion push ongoing, we really have not looked dominant for 4/5 games now.

Are we just trying too hard?

Still unbeaten in what?
Unbeaten run stands? We lost Sunday lol.

lol i refuse to acknowledge that too!
Lucky man
Oh no it wasn't. Sunday was. This was an improvement, a touch of rehab after Sunday, a just about ok performance. We're a 3rd division side FFS.
I know Jackson did and Doc scored bt what about the others?
