it was about 20-25 people at the back of H/J. I'd be surprised if we hear it again for a while as a much larger group made it very clear to them what would happen if they didn't shut up at which point they looked very sheepish
'we love you parky' was in no way tongue in cheek but a reaction to those idiots
With fans like that we don't deserve to do well. Complete and utter morons and are not Charlton fans as far as i'm concerned. Whoever started chanting that crap do me a favour - don't bother coming back. we don't need you.
Awful that they sing that after all those games unbeaten. Embarrasment.
Our support has really gone downhill over the last few years. It's all 15-20 year old chavvy idiots now or seems to be. I've never been parkys biggest fan but he's really turned it around over the last 10 games. Give him credit where it's due, you can't boo after one bad game.
Must just add to my earlier comments, and mention that the reaction to this in this thread has reassured me that the club is great.
Despite knowing its only a very small number of idiots it still winds me up to think that they are representing my club, showing my club in a bad light.
The reaction in this thread has cheered me up a bit.

I sit half way up the H block and it's the same sh*t every week towards the back of the J block
In fact I think I'm gonna move to the lower tier coz they are really p*ssing me off
I wasn't there today, but I know exactly where it came from, same silly little twats
Funny how all these posts are from people appalled by this and none from anyone admitting to chanting this shite. Are they just keeping their heads down here or (as i would guess) it's because as this is a site for people who genuinely love the club, and they're really not bothered and only turn up on a saturday cos there's no woolworths to hang around outside anymore? This ladies and gentlemen is the unfortunate face of (some) youth of today. Kids who demand "respect" from everyone without earning it and wouldn't know the first thing about showing it back to anyone else. Being controversial seems to be the trend with them. Maybe it will take a few of you older and wiser supporters up there to throw them from the upper balcony just like they do with their pound coins...........just watch out for those below. ;-)
I had to move 2nd half yesterday. I sit in the M block & have a father & son behind me who talk utter garbage from the kick off. They're racist, homophobic & completely ignorant. Since KB has left me alone to listen to their inane ramblings i am at the end of my tether. I had to move or i would have lost it.
If you come on here you two some pointers.
Joe Aniyansah (i may have spelt that wrong so i apologise) is not a difficult name to pronounce. No more difficult than McCormack which you seem to have no problem in pronouncing. So do yourselves a favour & stop calling Joe 'Andy' just because you're ignorant!
Stop calling Docherty a donkey everytime he goes anywhere near the ball. You're so short sighted! When i moved yesterday those around me were actually seeing his contribution yesterday but you just slag him off as soon as the whistle goes!!!
This may not sound like much. But when its constant & negative & loud in your ear it drives nails through you. I've said it before but how can it be right that a 41yr old women (as of today) is the only person singing when all the geezers around her are just spouting negativity???
Firstly, that was a shambolic performance, worst for a while at least the Brighton game we were in it for the first few minutes and playing a team top of the league. Secondly, we've been on an unbeaten run of 11 games and some little sh1ts in J block starting shouting that, I was in H block and hurled some abuse at them along with other supporters, which was well deserved. We should back to team to the grave but if anyone was a CNUT it was the players! Half hearted effort from all positions, just awful to watch. Thirdly, someone mentioned they saw a kid with a Millwall scarf at our ground, I would make a point of making them feel extremely uncomfortable and scared as they would to the same to us, I'm sick of them thinking they can take the piss as it's only little happy family club Charlton.
The 50 or so twats singing the Parky song just about summed up what was a really depressing day.
To keep it into context, its kids. They do it because someone else shouts it and they are all followers and think it is funny.
But it a society thing rather than a Charlton problem. I'm 34, have always classed myself with being more alligned to the younger end of our support than the older, but i just have no affiliation with the vast majority of the mid-to-late teen generation. Not all, but most. Have some family that age and i look at the Facebook posts between them and their mates and i can barely understand a word they write. English has completely gone out the window, they seem to have less responsibilities, maturity, respect, care or wit than any other generation when they were that age. Even the simple thing of a football chant they can't even do in time or without being at break-neck speed.
I know down at Millwall they've found a lot of the younger ones they've picked up in the last five years an embarrassment, its taken a few years longer but i'm starting to feel the same about some of others.
Embarrassing episode to cap a thoroughly miserable day.
Unfortunately two of the "J block hardcore" decided to grace the row behind me in C block yesterday. Non-stop foul mouthed abuse at Parky and also at everyone sitting around them who wouldn't join in with their rants. When a couple of us had the temerity to disagree with their views they got very, very agressive. The stewards then stepped in and took them away for a "chat".
Although the team were shockingly bad yesterday, I can live with that. What I cannot and will not tolerate are loud mouthed morons who ruin my day out.
Covered end has become a bit of an embarrasment compared to previous years.
Gotta say I much prefered the single tier old stand and the lads that used to stand in F Block long before it became trendy to stand, at least there was a bit of original wit without having to resort to calling our manager a fanny.
Quite glad I dont sit there, would definitely end up in a row.
I thought the support from all sides of the ground, considering we were second before the weekend and 10 games unbeaten was absolutely shite.
Look forward to Brentford tomorrow with the proper fans!
I witnesed a group of 15+ pissed up blokes in there 40s or 50s thinking they were hilarious singing the kevin lisbe song. Our club is the leader in anti racism and those twats need to be banned. Its not always kids who are bringing this club back to the 70s.
Those fans are sadly Charlton fans and not Millwall, I think I missed the joke in WSS's post. I was near them (will move asap!), they were trying to start an atmosphere by trying to sing Charlton songs and by calling Walsall players & fans the see you next Tuesday. About 2 minutes in to the game one shouted out "'cmon Charlton it's only Walsall" but with a few more words which did raise a few eyebrows. After the we love parky chant they looked at each other with bewilderment and one said that's not what we chanted! They're young and need to learn how to support a team properly, their enthusiasm is a good thing IMO hopefully they're get the hint and try and get proper chants going.
The group adamtheaddick saw annoyed be ten times as much, their teenage giggling really summed up what pathetic human beings they are.
I reckon AFKA's right in a way, it is a general society thing. Every generation complains about its youngsters and says that they are getting worse. But there is nothing new about badly behaved youth, the late Victorians worked themselves into a frenzy about the 'peaky blinders', gangs of kids who sewed blades into their peaked caps so that they could slash peoples faces with them. The Ancient Greeks and Romans have records of young people who dressed in a distinctive way to upset the authorities. Youth has always wanted to assert itself and upset its elders, it's quite normal. Whether or not we should have to accept it and what can be done about it are different questions though. I'm just mightily relieved that I don't have to sit near them.

Some people come down just to have a dig.

They dont realise how ironic they are when they sing this song. We dont hear it from any other fans , so who's the inbreds ?

I'm bringing my ipod Boxing Day.
