Just saw the goals. Doherty set up one for us and one for them. Nice finish for Benson's first, nice anticipation and his second he was in the right place at the right time.
How that wasnt a foul on Reid before they scored their second though - who knows.
I will take it, the kind of game we wouldn't have got nothing from last season. The Parky haters will be kicking themselves though, they thought they had their chance!
Reid was on a different level yet again although tried to do too much early on. Martin was good and put in some nice balls just a shame none were finished. Should of really put that game away in the second half. Fortune was solid and didn't really put a foot wrong.Doherty is slower than basey and struggled at times. Semedo and racon were good and Christian dailly was solid at rb.
Feels like a win. Slightly miffed that all that pressure in the second half didn't produce more goals but I reckon Benson will get better doing what a striker does best, being in the right place at the right time. Well done Parky.
Impressed with how many late goals we have been scoring. Points to improved fitness levels and a bit of fighting spirit.
Pleased that Benson seems to have found his shooting boots.
Suspect we are going to see Mr Doherty on the bench for the next home game. Dailly is so important to us at CB.
Bit of a worry that we are dominating and not putting teams away. Are we going to carry on like that or is it going to click and someone gets a spanking?.
I wasnt moaning - just said it wasnt a great result thats all. A team with aspirations of promotion should be beating teams who have only won once at home all season. That being said, I predicted a draw in the preview so I'm not that all suprised.
After listening on the radio it seems we played well enough to win, but didnt and that is a shame. We have to start turning periods of dominance into goals and ultimately 3 points.
Pretty much what Matt said except we should of won in the end as we had a lot of possession and probably should have finished better, was really gutted when they scored but bloody ref should of given a free kick for us coz of a foul on Reidy. Martin played his best I seen when he came on.
Doherty came off at half time in the MK Dons game as a he was "a bit fluey". Has he not fully recovered?

I know what you mean, but Plymouth only came down from the Championship last season and their fans expect them to be challenging for promotion just as we do.
I think it comes down to this being a very close league. The difference between teams is that little bit of quality here and there, defending or attacking. Reid's crosses on Tuesday, Benson's goals today, solid defending when we've kept clean sheets etc. Not many teams dominate for the majority of the match, and there aren't many teams going out and thrashing their opponents. Just 10 points between 2nd and 24th, this time last year it was 18 points (ignoring Southampton's deducation).
When it was 1-1 by all accounts we should have gone on to win it, but to come from behind twice away from home is always pleasing, plus with Benson's 2 goalsl and Martin's performance when he came off the bench is also good positives to take away. Today's performance mixed in with MK Dons second half and we do seem to be making progress.
Having finally got a 3g signal in ikea at 4.50 and thinking we had lost, I'm over the moon with a draw.
Well, as over the moon as someone who has spent a sat afternoon pushing a double pram round Ikea and occassionally muttering yeah nice, could possibly be...
I am taking this as a step in the right direction. Decent 2nd half at MKD and another decent last 45 today. Of course it means we are missing 90 minutes in that scenario but an improvement none the less. We certainly are a team that plays for a the full 90 minutes as all the late goals show. Add consistency to these good spells and then who knows where it can lead. We need Youga back in the team. Any news on that front ?
I was in Argos in Eastbourne and heard on radio we were 2-1 so thought that was it. Only heard we nicked a point about 5.10. Good to come from behind twice but sounds like we should have been ahead by then. Need to start winning these games though. Hartlepool won there last week after all. Can't comment further as wasn't there. Need a win next week.
Wasn't there but listened to the radio commentary and it sounded like there were two spells in the second half when we were so dominant we probbaly could - and should - have had several goals.
Really glad to see Benson getting his act together, but tempered by disappointment that great possession and passing were not converted into precision and potency in front of goal during the periods when the commentary suggsted there was only one team in it. It sounded like we should have been ahead, not coming from behind for a second time in the game.
In the second half, it also sounded like Reid and Martin were a constant threat and arguably they should from now on be our two wingers.Which means we have to find another position for Waggy, because his goal-scoring knack/instinct is invaluable. I'd hate to see him treated by Parky in the poor manner Shelvey was treated last season (''He's a good player but it's hard to see how to fit him into our formation'', later translated into ''he was too good for us'').
Finally, a plea to all Charlton Lifers : can we please cut out smug, self-serving phrases such as ''the Parky haters will be kicking themselves''? (I'm not going to name the poster, but you will all have read the comment higher up this thread...)
Whatever you think of Parky, the suggestion that any Charlton supporter would want our team to lose because they would prefer a different manager is beneath contempt.

Dailly & Reid outstanding.
Team again come out asleep. Second half totally different
attitude......
Benson did nothing bar the 2 goals but heyho.
Semedo and Racon great when on top, go missing when we go behind.
And Abbott needs to lose a stone in weight!
Cant keep carry in only turning up for 45 mins.....

Signs are good.
Fancy us to beat Brighton next week.

Great spirit to come back and get our second goal.
Ref missed an obvious free kick before they got the second goal.
We got some fantastic crosses from Reid, Daily and Martin in the second half, but just lacked the killer edge.
Reid MOM
