Charlton Life Ultimate Great Towns list

Ok, plenty of crap ones! How's about some good ones....as a qualifier it has to be a decent size town, I know there are plenty of lovely little villages around...that's a given! I will offer up the following places in the UK I liked visiting....

    Newcastle always has happy memories for me - never had a bad night out there, even after we got hammered there 3-0 when Shearer broke some goalscoring record or other.

    Edinburgh a lovely city as well, although like Newcastle I am aware that there are probably some less salubrious parts as well.

    UK: Ullapool - one of the most picturesque towns on Planet Earth.

    Bath
    Barmouth, N Wales - not a great deal there accept a lovely summers evening walk accross the foot/railway bridge accross the estuary and fish and chips from the wrapper on the sea front. Simple pleasures but one of my favourite things to do anywhere in the world.
