I agree he sounds really exciting. I just think that the problems Parky has had with player on long contacts who we've had a nightmare getting rid of (Moo2, McCloud etc) will mean he won't rush into anything.
We need some strikers to sign so surely he'll be offered something having been here for 3 weeks, not like there's any other freebies going around which will be any better plus we won't have any friendlies to look at them.
[cite]Posted By: sidcupterry[/cite]after his performance at barnet it makes tunas game against welling look great! so on that showing i would send him back to spain.
What about the decent games he had before that?
Personally i think they'll give him one more friendly then make a decision.

That's convenient then, there's only one first XI fixture remaining lol
[cite]Posted By: eldavide[/cite]Is this the same Parkinson's mouth that said we'd be signing a new keeper yesterday? The medical taking place that afternoon, what happened with that?

You'll probably find out today. Or would you like the club to ring you personally as the minute the contract is signed?
Unless Parky has Kevin Phillips or Fernado Torres lined up I can't see why are pasing up on Buaza. Admittidly I wasn't at the Barnet game, but I was at the Welling game and he impressed there............not likely to be anyone much better out there knocking around.
Someone have a word in his shell-like that currently we only have 2 strikers in our SQUAD - 3 if you count Tuna, but he hasn't even been given a squad number, so I doubt if he is going to feature much this season.
Talk on other thread about needing another keeper in case Robbie gets sent off against Bourenmouth etc............more likely is that Akpo will pull up with an injury and we'll have no-one to replace him with.

It's more likely that a striker will get injured yes, but it's a far more serious problem to have a play a 17 year old in goal than having to put Wagstaff/Reid up front for a game until Parky can get someone in that he actually wants.
I suspect he's viewed as a luxury - we don't really play with a deep striker "in the hole" so although he would be nice to have he doesn't actually fit with the system which the team plays and so would probably spend more time on the bench.
My point is, how often do you have to substitute a goalkeeper compared to an outfield player, esp a striker ?
Very unlikely that Robbie will get injured or sent off on Sat - but whast are the odds that either (or both) oi our TWO strikers can't last the whole 90 mins. Akpo has had injury problems with us before.
Yes, we can put Waggy up there..........but not really ideal...............whilst an (unused) keeper will be sitting on the bench.

The contract could always include an option to extend for a further year if a certain number of appearances are made.
See, this agents game is a piece of the proverbial.
;o)

Whats what then?
Where did you see that?
source?
be patient, it will be done today.
