Good Luck Lloyd, if you think the Charlton supporters did not give you a 100% backing you are in for a royal shock if you start your Leeds career the same way you ended your Charlton one.
[cite]Posted By: oohaahmortimer[/cite]so that crap manager lambert doesn't know how bad he really is or charlton fans in complete misread of a player shock
although obviously in recent times we do seem to get our players to underperform with such ease due to our magnificent training/coaching/management
[cite]Posted By: 1 light[/cite]........he can't pass a simple ball,he can't cross a ball n when he does do one good cross everyone says what a great cross, the other 30 crosses before was crap,he always has his shorts right down so he can't run right
No doubt that's exactly what Leeds thought when they had him watched and saw him play.
And that's why they signed him.

Indeed, I for one am disappointed that he's not here next season.
We'll just wait for us to sign the next scapegoat winger after Thomas/Ambrose/Sam etc
Wagstaff is not good or effective enough to start games as we saw last year.
Sam in Leeds is a strange one though as I though Snodgrass played right wing for them?
I'm pretty sure him and fraser are looking at the holidays away as well lloyd is off to slovakia frasers off to switzerland and were struggling to fill a mini bus for a trip to wimbledon

I liked Sam too. Maybe like most wingers, capable of making the wrong decision and lacked consistancy - but could always come up with the unpredictable, offered that bit of trickery, worked well with team mates and didn't lose posession too easily.
And invariably double marked - which opened up space for team mates to exploit.
Charlton fans didn't seem to rate him, so I wonder why opposing managers always did.....?
Good job the average Charlton fan knows more about the game than experienced professionals.
I think it was time for him to move on, both for us and for him. I'm not particularly a fan of Sam's, he flattered to deceive, but he gave us good service and leaves with my best wishes. Hope it works out well for him at Leeds. I just hope that Wagstaff is given as much leeway as Sam has had the last few years.
[quote][cite]Posted By: 1 light[/cite]Do people on here who likes Sam actually really watch him play?he can't pass a simple ball,he can't cross a ball n when he does do one good cross everyone says what a great cross, the other 30 crosses before was crap,he always has his shorts right down so he can't run right n he's one of the biggest earners there,I'll be glad not to see him in a charlton shirt anymore.[/quote]
Look forward to seeing his replacement, we're not going to find a winger who doesn't frustrate at times. Wagstaff's not ready to start regularly yet unless he really pushes on and can offer a bit more when starting games.
He'll surely just be a squad player at Leeds and that might suit him. A fresh start, less pressure to produce something as they'll have other players capable, unlike us at times last season.
Being the type of player he is, whatever club he plays for some fans won't rate him. It shows there is something there when several Championship clubs were after him.
Unlike Ambrose he's not a goalscorer, so it won't be obvious if he's doing well for Leeds or not. Good luck to him.
[cite]Posted By: GRAY9[/cite]Wagstaff scored more goals last season, has more desire and has potential to improve with more games.
Not really a fair point since Sam set up 10 and Wagstaff didn't set up a single goal (see the Football League site). And if it was just about desire we'd just play the youth team. He has more potential I agree, but that's because he's in the first few years of his career as a pro.
Oggy - I believe Sam is pretty inconsolable at the minute. As you probably know, she is also a massive Chrissy Powell fan and always joked ( I hope !) that Lloydie is the love child of that union..... I'm hoping that Lloyd will get in touch with her directly before he actually moves northwards permanently as they have been "together" in a shirt sponsorship sense and more for several seasons.
I wish Lloyd luck , although I haven't always appreciated what he gives the team .
One thing's for sure....The Sponsors' dinner will never be the same again.
I really do despair with some of the people on this board nowadays. Good luck Lloyd, you obviously did enough to impress teams in a higher division but clearly not enough for some folk here. The sooner people realise we are no longer in the premiership and therefore the players at the club are not premiership quality, the better.

I hate to agree with Large but I do : - )
Time for Waggy to step up now but let's give him more than a few games before we crucify him.
Good luck to Lloyd.
I seem to remember mention of an inherent lung capacity problem. Not that he was unfit just that his lungs couldn't produce oxygen fast enough so he tired quickly.

Now imagine a cream box (will we ever be able to quote from the previous page without fiddling lots?)
Me: +1 Good luck Lloydie with the rest of your career. Hope it works out for you. I'll miss your beaming smile as well.

Good luck Lloydie.
Sam Lloyd must be devastated!
Good luck in your career.
Still, great point though

I'm worried about her; she'll be devastated.
;o)
Looking to comfort her are you Oggy? :0)
How did he manage 10 assists last year then?

And finally the last prem player gone, thank god..
Unless JF comes back...

Good luck Lloyd, I look forward to Wagstaff running into dead ends for the next 9 months.
Fully expect Lloyd to do an Ambrose next season.
Hello Fanny.
Poor Sam, she was devoted. Give her a big hug.
