Great idea Dave. Perhaps we could do it "old skool" and get Brian on the mic announcing the teams!!! ;o) (not saying you're not any good on the mic or anything!! lol )
We could also draw the raffles at half time Valley Gold/Jackpot style.
One of my mates who is a Charlton season ticket holder officiated the last game I played at the valey and done a great job. He refs to a reasionable level an am sure he would do it !
Sounds like most peeps are up for this and it can be a reality, bang a few heads together and hey presto, cue the video cam!lot's of new photos for the gallery as well.

I reckon I can offer an explosive 10 mins which will change the game then a sick by the hoardings... In preparation I may be making an appearance for some team or other of my mates on sat.. see if I still have it .. if I have ill put myself forwrad ... if not ..........
OK, the date of the game will be Tuesday 22nd May. We will have the Valley booked from 3-7pm.
Special thanks to both Ketman and the club, having negotiated a fantastic discount for the hire. The club will also provide a first aider, and a couple of stewards to help with the organisation, and the use of Bartrams for the evening. We can debate later whether it will be preferrably to order food over the bar, or chip in advance for a buffet.
A whole host of people have expressed an interest in playing. If we have enough still keen, the idea is to play two 60 minute games, with one game skewed to those of slightly lesser ability or fitness. We want everyone to enjoy taking part, and include as many CL members as we can.
For those that wish to play, please can you send me an email to afka_smudge@hotmail.com headed Charlton Life Charity Match. Please state your real name and your CL name. I'll follow up in a couple of weeks with more details. Note it will involve an early finish, or 1/2 day off work.
The price will be set at £30, the bulk of the money raised will go to Demelza House, with a smaller contribution going to Valley Flags.
Look forward to hearing from all those that have expressed interest.
[cite]Posted By: Curb_It[/cite]what is the story for those not playing but want to watch?
we'll bring out more details in the next couple of weeks, once we've got a firmer indication of how many want to / can play. But spectators will be allowed in the West, and we'll try and encourage as many as possible.
What about those who do not want/cant play but would like to make some kind of contribution to the day whether its cutting up the oranges or providing the heckling from the sidelines?
I would love to kick a ball on the sacred pitch but I know that with just one kick I will be in pain for the next 6 months (though, that's worth considering).

Just sent a mail AFKA, looking forward to it already. Will be giving the day plenty of plugs between now and then on the Sunday show, (and others on 103.7TGRSound).
If it is Ok with everyone, I'll try and get a few presenters down there and do a live commentary and interviews with all, to play on the show the following Sunday, (if I can edit it in time).
The Show?
Oh yes, me and my partner in crime every Sunday, 6pm-8pm for a 'Live' sports show, covering every local football club and every sport. Yes including Millwall, hey we're a local community station I have to! On the plus side there is always as many digs at palarse as I can possibly get in a two hour show. :-)
The frequency?
103.7TGRSound (FM) or on www.tgrsound.co.uk for those out of the area.

The club have been very good with us, and the whole concept is to raise as much money that we possibly can for a good charity.
Paddy best have the pitch all nice for us!
I think I need to be segregated from most off here (especially riscardo and oohaahmortimer).
