The pitch can be hired during the pre-season for corporate events with facilitys including a guided tour and food/drinks bar if required. So why not enquire. A charity match against a vets team would be a good idea, tickets sold at a reasonable price and additional interest could make for a good turn out, the proceeds could go back to the local community or/and a charity proposed from within the club, if the game was played on a saturday at 3pm this would encourage people to come along hence no floodlight expenditure & Ketman can dj, Might be an idea to ask if Cris Holland's band can do an acoustic set after the game in a millenium suite, add a raffle and hey presto, might even be able to get my brothers combo London School Of Samba to play for free at half time.
Think of the income the ground could recognise at a time when it's not being used.

Henry has already said "make it happen"
For what it's worth, i feel we should involve as many "Lifers" as possible so that we can raise as much money as possible for the chosen charity.
need a volunteer to take on the organising, i'm not going to be able to to be honest.
I think the ideal candidate to organise it would be someone who lives close to the Valley , knows a lot of people at the club , and is female .
I think we should find out who still plays etc and go from there.
Great idea.
Ha ha, i was just going to volunteer myself. Right up my strasse.
Would like to help with the organisation side of things but doubt whether I can fully commit other than attending the actual day in support. Is this a closed season bash?
But you wouldn't want to share the soap in the showers.....
Football aid usually command about £300 per position to play there (i paid £375) but if an extra event is organised then it might be better to do it off our own backs with the proceeds going to Demelza or the like?
Because CAFC are more likely to give the pitch to us for nothing and the former players are more willing to be involved.
But it doesn't have to be for Charity.
headlock?
I'm up for it, and we'll definitely need rolling subs. Played a charity game at the valley a few years ago and it's shocking how much bigger the pitch is than what most of us are used to playing on on a sunday morning.
