We've just released Ali Fuseini. Ran the game against you at the Valley. Can't understand why we're getting rid because i really rate him. Charlton could do a lot worse than take him on.

Don't know much about Fuseini. What about Jason Price and what happened to Dave Martin the Charlton fan? Did he go to Derby in the end?
  • [cite]Posted By: LargeAddick[/cite]yes Millwall have signed Trotter. Daryl Russel looks set for a move from Norwich to Leeds so maybe Bailey to Norwich is still a possibility.

Bailey and Hoolahan would be a good central midfield

Price has been released. Bit of a donkey, but always seems to pull his finger out around the time that there's a contract to be won. Scored a couple of important goals. Think Tresor Kandol....but with less energy.

Dave Martin has joined Derby on a permanent deal. Mugs.

Fuseini is - from what I can make out - a bit too similar to Semedo maybe, only shorter. Gets around the pitch, breaks up play, and does eveything easy. A really really good footballing brain. Not known for his goalscoring exploits. We'll regreat that one.

Jason Price sounds just what we're looking for!!

Doubt it'd be too strong defensively. As we've seen, making Bailey the more defensive CM doesn't suit him.
  • Comments about Fuseini sound too much like the sort of comments we made bigging up Moo2...that said, I suppose if he's been released...
  • Jason Price is poor. Believe me, we don't want him.
We will miss Bailey. He was our main man. Scoring goals is quite a gift. He was desperately unlucky at Swindon when he hit the bar. Without him we would not have been in the play offs (unless Jonjo had taken his place with a vengence..and he might have.) Don't care if he joins Millwall. It's not like losing Billy Bonds or Robert Lee. In fact Bailey needs to improve his distribution to become a star in the Championship but I think he can do that. We should get +800k for him but I doubt if any this money will go into buying players. I doubt if any teams in our div will spend money, apart from Pardew of course. We are now in the business of turning pigs ears into silk purses.

I think he will do that just fine in a better side. Got to the point here where I think as captain he was desperate to win games and tried to get things going himself. If a new manager tells him to keep it simple and let more creative players set up the chances he will do well. He'll always work hard and score goals and it's only really the last half of the season in his time here he's had too many games not getting his passing right.

As I said before didn't dominate like we hoped, but in the right team with the right role he should do very well in the Championship.
  • totally agree scoham took the whole team on his shoulders
  • Frank Lampard doesn't dominate games

His goals have won an awful lot for Chelsea though over the last 8 years.

Having a goal scoring midfielder is a huge asset and a very difficult one to replace
