I understand how all you lads to want to carry on your day out on the lash but honestly... cant you go to a london game? what if manc train breaks down and you all get stuck and cant get home... oh or is that the point??
Hopefully if the game is off it's off by Friday cos if there are doubts, 24 hours more cold is not going to change it one bit. If I get any further than my front doorstep to learn that the game is off I will be absolutely fuming!
The pitch down the main side stand for the Oldham was frozen at the START of the game. I walked on it and it was solid and the groundsman said he was surprised the game was being played as they could not get their forks in down that side. I suspect had it been any other game, rather than one against local rivals that had been abandoned once already, it wouldn't have been played.
For those at a loose end when this inevitably gets called off, Welling got granted a 14 day stay of execution today to pay their debts, and i think every effort will be done to get their game on on Saturday (i may even get my shovel out).
I'm sure they would appreciate every single additional body through the gate as they could get.
[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]what's this send the tickets back to guarantee a refund surely if the game doesn't go ahead we get a refund ?
I'm assumng they meant train tickets. I will hold onto my match ticket until the game is rearranged, if off, and then if I can't make it return them then.

If you are talking about the match tickets it says on the back that there are no refunds for postponements, abandonments & pretty much for everything.
No refunds !
[cite]Posted By: Valiantphil[/cite]With regards to a refund in the event of cancellation - the law is very straighforward.
The ticket purchase/sale constitutes a contract between the individual and RFC for them to put on a football match at an agreed date/time/place.
If they don't - the contract is void and no fees are payable.
Simples.
cant be that straight forward, or someone would've used a 'kick-off delayed for 15mins due to traffic congestion (or similar)' and got their money back.
after discussions Rochdale allowed Oldham fans a full refund or a ticket for the "new game" after their abandonment a few weeks ago.
last year, CAFC and Walsall's discussions led to the option of a full refund for the rearranged fixture.
So provided discussions ensue, which you'd hope they would with both clubs knowing full well there will have been a lot of advanced rail tickets purchased that will of course be unredeemable consequential losses, we should be ok regarding the wording on the ticket.

no, but yes according to some. Let's not forget it's only Wednesday.
True mate, hope it isn't called off.
On the plus side, though. I've just been sent home early!
Hopefully we can replay this fixture without everything being frozen solid (including us).

Is this an omen or a coded message ?

Hope common sense prevails.
I also got a refund on my Bristol Rovers ticket after it was moved to the Monday night.
Mind you, I've not paid my mate for my Rochdale ticket yet, so I don't care either way :-)
