Dirty Leeds v Spanners...

edited March 2010 in General Charlton
Monday nights big game, I'm sure we'll all be as keenly interested in this game as if it were one of our own...

What do you think would be the best result for us...?

draw best result for us so a point disappears but with our current troubles i'd prefer a leeds win to keep the scum below us and hopefully dent their confidence
  • A Millwall win would mean we would only be 4 points of automatic promotion.

Obviously we would have Millwall above us but we'd be that point closer than if there was a draw.
  • A draw would be the result for me.
tbh though i want Millwall to feck off
  • leeds win all day long please
  • Draw or Millwall win at a push. Leeds win would be the worst result.
  • Draw would be great for us
  • Millwall win please, but at a cost of a few injuries
  • irrelevant both teams wil FACT finish above us
  • Actually a draw with a few injuries and a couple of red cards would be good. Nice 3 game ban for Beckford or Harris or Snodgrass
  • irrlevant both teams will FACT finish above us

  • 9 red cards each side, 0-0 boring draw, home and away fans boo the remaining four [injured] men off the pitch. Both sets of fans run onto the pitch, massive riot (no fatalities or serious injuries) and are slapped with massive fines that put both clubs into administration

    How's that?
  • The game gets abandoned if there's less than a certain number left on one side, doesn't it? So I'd settle for three red cards each, lots of yellows, plus a massive fine for failing to control players/fans
  • Yeah..I go for a riot, Ref stabbed to death by both sets of fans and the stadium burned to a cinder. Oh and Bates garroted on the half way line.
  • Draw or Leeds

  • A Millwall win is the best outcome for us, but pretty irrelevant unless we go on a run of wins.
  • [cite]Posted By: floydandharvey[/cite]Anyone who doesn't want Millwall to win must be half-sharp. It doesn't make a blind bit of difference whether we finish 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th. The only thing that would make a difference is finishing 2nd, which means needing Leeds to drop as many points as possible. I will be cheering on Millwall, anyone who cheers on Leeds doesn't want Charlton to go up and should be banned from The valley.

What about if we finish 7th and Millwall finish 6th??

Not that we could ban you from the valley, you prefer watching other teams anyway.
  • Don't really care because of my unfortunate lack of faith in the team. It's what our team does or doesn't do that ultimately counts.

correct but it makes life so much easier when we're above the scum!

  • Millwall win after 11 injuries, Parky ralleis up the troops and we storm past Leeds who collapse into 3rd place after we batter em at The Valley.

When do I wake up. :-)

    Only if we're in automatic and they're in playoffs....otherwise we're stuffed :-)
  • I'm going to be a Millwall fan for a day.

Automatically is the only way we will go up. If it comes to the play-offs other teams will display more desire and character I fear so we will fall short.
  • Can`t bring myself wanting anything good for Millwall.
  • The only results I am looking out for at the moment are Huddersfield and Southampton.
  • A drew with lot's of season ending injuries on both sides would be ideal.

Southampton aren't going to catch us, unless they make up 13 points out of the remaining 30 points over Colchester...
  • Millwall win for me all day long, as already said above dosen't matter if we finish 4th, 5th or 6th but 2nd would be better so Leeds have to drop points.

If we finish 3rd or 4th we get the second leg of the play off at Fortress Valley!

    So I'd prefer that

    Here are Southamptons remaining fixtures:

    H Hartlepool
    A Brighton
    H Leyton Orient
    H Charlton
    A Bristol Rovers
    A Yeovil Town
    H Oldham
    H Carlisle
    A Gillingham
    H Southend

I don't see why they can't win 9 or maybe even all 10 of them. It's a tall order but with their team and the goals they score, the play offs are still possible.

You could be right, but Southampton seem to have a knack of beating the top teams and then slipping up away from home against the lesser sides of late.

They won't get 30/30, even if they did they'd hope that 2 teams have a massive blip where they collect only 10 points from their remaining 10 games, then they might sneak the play offs
