  • Think there's still a Kennedy's in Beckenham?

I'd completely forgotten about Beatties, I loved that place as a kid.
  • I saw a C&A on Saturday.........

    In Amsterdam.
  • Wimpy - still one in Croydon, but - aside from the joke one at the Valley (which bears no resemblance to a real WImpy) I can't think of another one outside motorway services. Shame, I love Wimpy burgers - ten times better than that old shite they serve up in Mickey D's.
Pollards - though the one in Deptford high Street might still be there
Chiesmans - then the Army & Navy - what happened to the Army & Navy?
  • Happy Eater

    and of course C&A
  • I had a Wimpy at a service station on way to Walsall. They are still about though down here, one in Eltham has been done up!
  • Wimpy priced everything in pence for some reason.
  • Rumbelows!

Althought BestBuy may be re-introducing it to the market soon...
  • C&A is still big in Europe, they only closed down the UK operations.

My uncle use to be the buyer for womens fashions for C&A in the 70's when it was a bit more up fashionable. He got more tail than heffner back in those because of it!
  • Granditer.
    Rumbelows.

I used to work in C&A and was in one not that long ago. In France.

  • Leroy,

    Wimpeys in London

There's one in Lewisham high street near Nationwide. I have no idea what you see in the place, it's too expensive!
  • British Gas Showrooms

    LEB Stores
  • There's a Wimpy in Welling
  • Wimpy in Bermondsey as well. Bit of an institution there amongst the locals.

There used to be a drive through one around Lakeside somewhere as well.
  • Cheesemans
    Key Markets
  • Still a Wimpy in Belxeyheath. Cant beat a Bender burger and a Brown Derby.
  • Most of the stores previously mentioned have either merged/ been takenover or gone bankrupt.

    Curreys/Dixons etc have ben re-branded

Gas showroom are SO 1970's its untrue.

Soon you'll be asking what hapen to Midland Bank and Abbey National.

    welcome to the new century,

  • Virgin Megastore/Zavvi
The book shop in the Eltham Arcade has gone now I think
