    It could be London .. over Crystal Palace Hill and far away .. I lived in Balham for a while .. nowhere near as nice as SE3 .. but few places in London are

    Used to work for the Woolwich Equitable in Woolwich around 1973/4.
    Remember my daily commute on the 51 bus from Welling.

    Plenty of Milletts still around, some going under it's other name of Blacks.
    Same company.

    Many C & A stores in Europe - big one in Marseille, for example.

    C&A is still huge in Europe, Dutch Co .. infamous for making Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, SS Uniforms .. not any more though
