I thought I'd play this, having seen Weller last week.
Oh what great songs that I've not heard for years.
In The City. The Modern World, News of the World, Billy Hunt, David Watts, A bomb in Wardour Street, Down in a Tube Station at Midnight, Strange Town, When You're Young, The Eton Rifles, Going Underground, That's Entertainment, Start, Funeral Pyre, Town Called Malice, Precious, The Bitterest Pill, Beat Surrender etc ....
Some 'Suicidal Tendencies' after seeing them on Sunday... and the more chilled out tunes from Chuck Ragan, singer of Hot Water Music...great for a sunny day...
Oh my word what an album. Not as good as Clandestine, but still brilliant. That Sunlight Studios production sound is as good as Morrisound was in the early nineties. Guitars sound like a buzzsaw
Walter Trout - Luther's Blues A tribute the Luther Allison. If you like blues, and I love it, then give this a listen a modern interpretation of one of the blues greats
Just booked to see Sick of it All in August so going through some of their stuff, bloody brilliant live band. Should be mental inside The Underworld.
As good as ever. Promoted an animal charity too, haven't seen a band do that before: http://tigertime.info/
Was at SW4 on Sunday as well, full of 'oh my God festivals are so cool I'm going to spend the whole time taking photos' dicks but had some good techno and Eric Prydz tore it up as always. There is so much more to him than the two singles everyone has unfortunately heard.
