  • Subhumans - Internal riot, best punk cd for years
  • She walks like Rihanna - The Wanted...

but not out of choice, it's on heavy rotation on the radio station chosen by my work colleagues, Capital. Why adults listen to it I don't understand.
  • Down In Albion - Babyshambles
  • Little Feat ... Dixie Chicken
    Steely Dan .. Showbiz Kids

...or tonight I was going to be seeing Terry Ried at the Borderline but am suffering with food poisoning. He's doing the whole of Seed Of Memory as well so I guess I'll make do with this

Just seen this. Terry Reid is the guv'nor in my book, and that is my absolute favourite album of his. Found out too late to go and see it performed, although I saw him perform my favourite track off that album, Brave Awakening, with Rumer at the Jazz Cafe a year ago. Don't know if you've seen him recently, but he does enjoy the odd light ale.

  • Black Rainbows - Brett Anderson

  • Palms - album by members of Isis and Chino from Deftones. Haunting
  • I know is old but still brilliant - Tea for the Tillerman, Cat Stevens.
  • Bring tea for the Tillerman
    Steak for the sun
Wine for the women who made the rain come
    Seagulls sing your hearts away
'Cause while the sinners sin, the children play

Oh Lord how they play and play
For that happy day, for that happy day

Marvellous song (and album) although I've absolutely no fricking idea what he's singing about I've loved this song for more than forty years.
"Cat-Fantastic pop pickers!!!" as Alan Freeman might have remarked at the time.

It's funny how some songwriters seem to have an evangelical ability to inwardly communicate and lift one's spirit.
Cat Stevens s is certainly one of them.
    'Lilywhite' anyone.....?
    Great songwriter.
