    worth a buy?
  • Led Zeppelin - Presence
    Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
    John Murphy - Sunshine OST
  • Today... Wodensthrone!

FAO Winters Dawn.... Amon Amarth album is 'solid' no real stand-out tracks at the moment (only had three listens), but think it will be one that grows on you. Hoping to catch them Saturday supoorting Children of Bodom....

  • Leonard Cohen - Live at the O2. His voice has actually improved (unlike Dylan who I saw there and nearly tried to get a refund....).
  • Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
  • Lit - A Place in the Sun
  • All those listening to the new Foo Fighters album - any good?
  • big tip on what to NOT listen to.... Children of Bodom.... bloody awful band....
  • Anything by Ed Sheeran... Blokes a genius!
  • Alessandro Striggio's 'Ecco si beato giorno'. It has 40 vocal parts, rising to 60 in the final section. Must be the orginal towering wall of sound. Composed in 1566, considered lost, but now rediscovered and recently recorded for the first time.

If CAFC has been on a downward trajectory for 5 years, this piece may suggest that music has been going backwards for about 500 years. [Only half serious about that!]

    Superb
    Amen

Most consistent album sinc TCATS. They're all excellent, but the last song in particular (Walk) is an instant classic.
  • Imagination, Second Image, Beggar and Co, Junior, Central Line
  • Metronomy - The English Riviera
  • Neil Young: Unplugged. What a voice....
  • [cite]Posted By: stonemuse[/cite]Jesus and Mary Chain - Psychocandy

Although it was a bonus track, "Some Candy Talking" was one of my favourite songs of the 80's.

Been listening to The Kinks today-what a band.

Which one?! He did 4 on the one day! No I was working, ironically I work in Camden so drove past the queues a few times, it was an amazing turn out. I've got tickets for his Scala gig on 7th July but I've just realised I already had tickets to see Death Cab for Cutie on the same night at Brixton! I'll have to decide which to do. He said he was playing Glasto but his name is not on the line up, hopefully he does.
  • Big Country at Shepherds Bush tonight. Mike Peters from The alarm is the frontman. Will be interesting to see what they are like without the brilliant Stuart Adamson.
