No, that's fine but remember I know where you live : - )

Need to sort some stuff out with AFKA anyway.
  • Did I dream it or were the kiddies told there would be one of their number selected as mascot for each home match ?

If so, any further news along those lines, Airman ?

There's been a Young Addicks mascot at every home match so far and you can see their details and picture on page 29 of the relevant programme.
  • Thanks, Airman. Must have missed it ! How many Young Addicks are signed up at this point ? And is the mascot chosen randomly ie a name "pulled out of a hat " ?

Good to hear the scheme is up & running .

Well Henry Jnr got a letter today with his membership card.

Goodie bag will be ready for collection v Huddersfield

Christian Daily and Fraser Richardson are doing the half term Q & A

While at Xmas the whole squad and Parky are coming to the YA party.

And he gets to bring along a parent/guardian as well. I'm sure the wife will want to go : - )

Well done the Young Addicks people.

But since it is Charlton can I have a moan about the logo. Really nice Charlton badge with "Young Addicks" replacing "Charlton Athletic" spoilt by having it flanked by two cartoon kids in baggy trousers and baseball caps. OK I know I'm not the target audience but all the same.

always got something to moan about. Talk about picky, sure we're not related ?

Fair point and something we will look to address sharpish - we didn't want to push ahead with promoting the scheme further until we could set out firmed up benefits.

Next question - does the post arrive early in Bromley (i.e. before school) or his Henry opening his son's post?
  • Anyone ever seen Henry and Large in a room together??
  • Neither, he was visiting a possible Secondary School so saw it when he came back.

He said the logo looked like Pouchee on the Simpsons (Itchy and Scratchy's short lived dog friend)

If only you could see the photo of us both on the facebook page ; - )

Cat Jnr opened his when he got in from school. Trouble is we can't make Huddersfield and he's gutted he'll have to wait for his goodies to be posted (might be lucky to see them by Christmas.....)

Airman - I assume there's no chance the bags will be available this Saturday?

    You can what ??
  • Can the goodie bag be collected after the FINAL whistle of the Huddersfield game?
  • [cite]Posted By: Badger[/cite]Can the goodie bag be collected after the FINAL whistle of the Huddersfield game?

    Yes.
  • Do you have to pay for this?
I remember being a junior red when i was younger and it was £15 quid for membership with a season ticket thrown in
  • The letter which i have just seen also states that t-shirts will be supplied in one of 3 sizes chosen by us based on your age.

Can the t-shirt be changed if it's not an adequate fit?
  • anyone else have a view on the logo?
  • [quote][cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]anyone else have a view on the logo?[/quote]
Why you thinking of using it for a charltonlife badge?
  • [cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]anyone else have a view on the logo?

I think they should be dressed in cords, sensible footwear and a nice cardy ;-)
  • My eldest wants to meet JonJo and the youngest Youga!! Theyre not worried about any logo trust me. Im just glad that they are genuinely looking foward to meeting the players.
  • got the letter yesterday, cannot believe the time of the christmas party. Please don't take this the wrong way but my wife's comment who hates football
was,it must have been organised by a woman.Just my assumptions but most junior addicks who actually would like to meet the players and regularly attend the matches would be between 6-12 (just my take) most would imo be boys (just my take). Most boys between these ages play junior sunday league football so will probably not be able to go to the party and meet the players. If the party was say 5 o'clock in the afternoon they surely this would be better. But 11.30 well if you have a morning kick off you can't go and if you have a afternoon kick off you can't go.

Airman I would appreciate your comments on this as I believe it's a big mistake, can they not revise the times so people don't have to make that decision.
Take junior reds f.c. I would imagine that most of their players are yound addicks what are they supposed to do the league wont let them cancel the fixture.
