THE Pardkinson Out Thread

edited January 2009 in General Charlton
So we can all add our names to it and email all the names to the board just to show the percentage from this forum that want Parkinson out. Or maybe one of those voting thingies that we have before a game on here.

    No.

If you want to do it, then stick to this thread now. Others will be sunk, thanks.
  • ON YER BIKE PARKY !!!
  • OUT OUT OUT! after years of stability that is all we have been saying from 2006 onwards.
  • Toodle pip Pardkinson
  • I've no animosity towards him in the same way i had no animosity towards Les Reed, i feel he's been left with the mess that others made before him. But the simple fact is he just isn't good enough for us, and today was the final straw, so please go.
  • Please walk Parky
  • Feel sorry for him cos hes picked up a shit team, but hes not got what it takes to motivate that squad, should never had been appointed imho.

  • I dont know why he keeps sending the team out early for the second half. Does he not have anything to tell them at halftime. I dont think getting rid of him is the answer now though. I dont think giving him the job was right but i think now he's got it he's got to stay

Surely as Pardew's assistant he must've had some sort of influence/ involvement in the signings? Im sure Pardew would have discussed his potential buys with Parkinson to some degree and parkinsson would have been given he updates of player performances in training/ reserves etc?

I have to say that at The Valley training day on 1 August (admittedly probably not typical) Parky looked like a spare part.

It was essentially the Alan Pardew show with a bit od assistance from Kins. Parky wandered round with a clipboard like Blakey in On The Buses.
  • get rid...... your no bloody good........

worst record in our history... and youve been up against some stiff opposition.....

    That's made my day Butler!
  • PUT MY NAME IN THAT E-MAIL

    GET PARKY OUT
  • Shouldn't have been appointed in the first place. He should go. At the moment I have no confidence in him or the board to make the right decisions.
  • Not man enough to walk when the manger who recruited him was fired.

YEAH! Not man enough to refuse the opportunity to attempt to turn around a failing team. COWARD!

Seriously, I've always doubted Parky is the man for the job, but he's shown more balls by trying to keep on with things than most people on this board will come up with in their lives. Still, you get what you wish for.

Still... NOT MAN ENOUGH! WE WANT OUR THIRD DIVISION CHARLTON BACK!

  • I am in the out camp but I do not see the point now, we are fucked the board should have acted after the first three games. If there is no instant boost, then it is unlikely to turn around.

So do not waste any more money, bringing in more players (unless permanent) and send all the loans home, save what little cash we can. We can still get out of this but it will take a miracle and it is not worth the club making its financial position worse on a near futile gamble
  • Can't see the point of this (sorry).
If Charlton do sack him/he walks, who'll come in and why ?
  • I don't see the point either.

We've already seen that not winning games can get you a job, so continuing to not win games isn't going to get you the sack, is it.

If you want to get Pardky out, you'll have to frame him for some petty stationary theft or something.
  • Think you are both wrong there AFKA and Mis. A new manager at least 'in principle' shold get a reaction from the players, a breath of fresh air. I feel for Parkinson as he inherrited a demotivated side although he is not blameless as he was there with AP. Whatever they are doing in training is not working and aso often happens, you get shot of a manager and the new one gets at least a mini revival, Derby, Forest and Norwich could not be any more recent examples ffs

Still cannot believe with his record he got it in the first place! Come on Charlton wake up ffs we need a complete overhaul of personnal not just getting rid of one every now and then!
Nothing against Parky personally but he is not the right man. (maybe Kinsella to stay in some role though but let whoever the new manager is decide who HE wants)
  • Exactly Al. We have gone from one bad decision to another (or worse). Everyone knows what our board has done, how they picked up our club, on its' knees, no money, no ground. BUT recently, the last 3 years, since allowing Curbs to go we have snowballed in bad decisions. A club with nion 40million pounds of player resource sold, poor management decision, they got rid of Dowie very early, they panicked imho. Appointed Reed and Pardew, both of whom I was in favour of, incidentally. The Parky appointment has no logic, despite what the club went on record saying when he was unveiled. The blokes won 1 in 12 or 13 and in that run only kept 2 clean sheets. If they do not get shot of Parky, which they probably will not, I fear for our status next year. There is no doubting that we have players well suited for this division, what we do not have are balanced sides, team tactics or most important of all self belief. If the board read this forum, they should note that in the main, the posts are well thought out with reasoned arguments. They need to do something now before this club, once touted as the role model club, ends up in Div 3 playing the likes of Aldershot !
  • I want him out NOW. Didn't want him in in the first place. But it's not gonna happen unless he walks, which if he had any ounce of sympathy for the fans as he suggests, then he should. I reckon anyone could motivate this team better than him at the moment. Any money we are going to waste on futther loanees I'd rather wast on sacking Parky.
  • He makes Les Reed's record look impressive. Pardky OUT!!!!!!!
  • It's not gonna make a difference now, but having said that....
    .
    .
    .
    .
close the door on your way our please Parky. Ta!
  • Think he's gotta go.

We are going down now weather we like it or not and i don't think he can bring us straight back up!!!
