[cite]Posted By: WelshAddick[/cite]Only joking Jack, My best mate is a jack and he will sit with me in the charlton end, and when the return game is played i will join him in your end. Its great for welsh football that 2 teams should finnish in the top 10 in the championship this season. In fact i will be surprized if we finish above swansea or cardiff at all. I used to love going down the vetch but am looking forward to going to your new stadium for the first time. How you coming up for the game.
I'm not, I have to work, on hols for two weeks now, SCHOOLBOY ERROR, I know. It is very good for Welsh football, I dont know about us finishing above Charlton mind or Cardiff for that matter, both of you experienced in this league and higher in your case. All a bit of the unknown for us, don't think we will be in any relegation fight this year, our squad is too strong for that.
One of the best managers I have ever seen and is such a gentleman, our fear is that if we do well up to Christmas and then you have the obligatory Premier managers sacking spree then he may be looked at, although he has stated that the club would have to sack him 'again' for him to leave. Not sure if that would apply if a largish Premier league club comes in for him mind.
You'd like to think he would be a bit more sensible than that, he ceratinly apears to be. I think it would be better for him to try & get you to the top flight. That way he could command a far better job in the future. But the lure of the spondoolies can often be the downfall of a good footballing mind...........we've all seen that before :-(

Cambridge? CFGS......lol
The others I can fully appreciate.
The Cambridge thing relates to a maidstone game I went to about the age of 15 (Mr peacock was at the helm), it was a playoff second leg and we were standing behind the road end goal. The stand was only about 8 rows deep and it afforded you some intimacy with the players that is lacking these days in modern stadiums. Any how about thirty of their lot made it into this stand and went absolutely mental when Dion dublin scored and other than a few times with the Jills it is the closest I have come to been totally done in. As a kid I was shitting myself.

Oh I really hope so. Now that would be mental, the Jacks in the Premier League, MOTD would never be the same again. lol. :-)
You'd be lucky if MOTD gave you a couple of minutes right at the end.
Everyone would have gone to bed by then, only the Jacks staying up having sat through an hour of boring Manure/Chelski and endless replays from every poxy angle of the only goal of the match - and muppet pundits blathering on about pure b*llox just for the sake of it.
At least, that's what MOTD was like for us .......
I can't wait till they lose the first five games in a row and start calling for this messiah's head !!
12 months ago Stoke were organising protests to get Pulis sacked, Derby were waxing lyrical over Billy Davies, Peter Taylor was a 'Palace legend', and some good looking people in South London sang about Sooper Al.

Things change very quickly in football.
Things do change quickly in football, all supporters have to understand that. We will probably get the few 'new' supporters who having seen some relative success with the team getting a bit vocal if we lose the first five but the die hards that have watched through thick and thin understand things a bit better, besides we have got Charlton away and Forest Home first two games so no fear of losing our first five. ;-)
Surprised CFGS, never saw any hint of trouble the times I went up to Cambridge, one of the friendlier venues. Good job it wasnt the Den during the late 60's and 70's That was a bit lively. I was chatting to one of those chief stewards towards the end of last season when there was a bit of handbags going on against Wolves and he said the worst violence he had seen at the Valey was against....................................
Brentford......
I have say it did make me chuckle
Hello Lads, just to put the record striaght that we do not have a crew as one of you put it. Those you saw at Millwall was just our noisy away fans going to a game.
You will hear how noisy we can be until you are beating us convincingly of course then half of us will be off to find the nearest watering hole to drown our sorrows! LOL
It will be a great match hopefully with both sides trying to play free flowing attractive football. A.T.B. for the rest of the season after the 9th of August and enjoy your trip down to South Wales when you play us.
