In Floyds one night, I said to Chris, what you doing tomorrow, "taking the wife to the Ideal Home Exhibition" he said, My hero to the Ideal Home Exhibition!! what a lovely guy. yesterday bought tears to a lot of eyes, thanks Chris.
So pleased Chris got such a great reception on Sunday, definitely the moment of the season when he scored, very emotional! I was very impressed at QPR earlier in the month when he sat with Charlton fans, did not need to do that and think it speaks volumes of the special relationship he has with the Charlton fans.
It never was or could be "The North Stand" he even knew that.Which is more than many . It always will be the Covered End.
What ever CP does i hope he is treated well. Nice guys seldom get what they deserve.I wouldnt like him to be a manager and fail. He dosnt deserve a bad word against him of any sort.
The man restores your faith in football, I can think of very few actually involved in the game who do that.
A deserved England call up, a quality player, a good man and a modern hero to me. The faint left and drag right move always brought a smile to my face - they always went for it!
[cite]Posted By: ShootersHillGuru[/cite]We can look forward to Sir Chris making an emotional return to The Adiicks in a season or so. Something to look forward to.
He never stays away for more than 12 months.
After the Kinsella heave ho and the Powell tunnel jump, I wonder if anyone else will take up the end of game celebration, I suspect not.

He'll never go thirsty if he sticks around SE7.
Good job he scored in the second half wasn't it John?

Varney has a good goal celebration.
It adds to my enjoyment, is that a problem?
In the light of this week's news, I thought this was worth a "bump"
Lots of people said they knew that he'd be back....and here he is!
I hope what NLA said about 'leading us to European and world domination' will also prove to be bang on the money!
