One thing in our favour is an extra day's rest.

TC as a wing back, please not.
  • Wrexham draw more than anyone I think so I can see them drawing this one... Until the 90th+ minute when Leaburn scores the winner.  1-0 Charlton.

3-1 to Wrexham and we add them to the list of annoying teams that we never seem to get a result from

They feel like a bogey team. We've also played a lot of games and have a few injuries under our belt now. I think this might be a game too far. Bit of the ol' Preston about it.

    Wrexham 2-0 Charlton.

3 points at the circus would be unreal but I'll still be a very happy addick if we come back with 1.

Hmmm.....hope you are wrong Sam. We have got a lot more about us this year and cannot see us giving in quite so lightly to their aggressive huff and puff style. Reckon if we can hold it level till 70 mins we might just get another huge away win.....?

Same people predicting defeat like the last 4 games, guess they will be right eventually, hope it’s not this weekend though.

Just had Matt Godden on talksport .. did not really talk about us to much but he gave an insight into his injury but he never said when he will be back even through it was reported by the club after the international break ..
What is the injury? I think it needed surgery, but what was it?

I, like others, felt we didn't show up last time  we played them, aided by some marginal tackles that the ref gave the home the benefit of the doubt about.
I have serious doubts whether we can contain their attack, with Kieffer M. movement off the ball (in 2 goals of the recent hat trick) yes right foot , header, left foot, just about (championship) perfect .
I'd keep the same team injuries allowing. But please pass the ball on the ground to Leaburn, thats where he can use it.
Survival in the Championship won't depend on this result, but a win would raise eyebrows, and scoring more than one (or a comeback ) would have many re-thinking.

Good job it’s not just about survival then.

We were running on empty by the time we got to that game. Basically, every effort had been spent trying to try and get us into that last automatic spot which TBF was always going to be a big ask. On the day, the luck was more with them and not so much us. After that we were able to just concentrate upon securing a play off spot and getting the highest position we could to get the more favourable away/home matches. We don’t have any of those concerns this time around. This will be a business as usual match for us and this season our business is keep it tight at the back and hit them where it hurts when we can.

Would take a draw considering Wrexhams form, our injuries, being away from home and just finishing a tough run of fixtures. Feel this game might just be one too many. A point before the international break will be very welcome.

Im also expecting Bree to sit this one out/on the bench.  Amazed he finished the game Tuesday, the injury looked nasty, probably one of those that when the adrenaline wears off then it may be a bit too serious to get in another game so soon.

He's probably forgotten that he plays for us. It's been so long, and he has had so many other clubs.

Back to the rotten circus again in their derelict tiny ground. Playing them at rhe wromg rime and our injuries will have an effect. Just hope it is a fit Lloyd Jones that they face. Tricky one, Parky comes out on top, 2-0 to Wrexham.

I will disagree with FA here, I think Hernandez was taken off with one eye on this game and I think he will start. Olaofe may well start as Leaburn put in a shift on Tuesday with little support and I think two games in four days is beyond him and putting him at risk of injury, something we could do without, with Godden not yet fit and Kelman unfit as well. We may well see a change to the midfield, with Costello or Anderson coming in. I think Nathan Jones likes the substitutions to change the pattern of the game and Knibbs and Fullah certainly achieved that on Tuesday. I think this game is dependent on our back line, we had too many injuries in last years fixture to give a good account of ourselves, especially in the back line, I think Charlton can get a point here but if our forward line clicks then a win is not out of the question.

Then a wink over to us at FT

  • It's interesting match I mean time to question Wrexham 😂 how it managed last season. But Wrexham quite struggling we gonna have them kept quiet

The key is to shut down Kieffer Moore. If we do that we could win this. It will be an interesting battle between him and Jones. I do have confidence in Jones. This has been an intense 2 or 3 weeks but we have a break after this game with the international week coming up. A good performance at Wrexham will set us up nicely but we’ll need to play better than we have in the last 2 games.

I wonder how fit Bree is after Tuesday, he struggled after that challenge so will be interesting to see what happens. I think with no natural left sided player though, Jones will be desperate for Bree to make it through and they can rest him up during the break.

I also have a weird feeling we might see Berry as well for this one. Carey starts all day long, just curious as to how it all comes together as Coventry will definitely play too and we are likely to have Doc in the team.

Would be harsh to leave Hernandez out as he done well considering he was playing out of position and as much as I don’t think he done a lot at all, I’d be surprised if Leaburn was on the bench with Tanto starting.

Fullah will almost certainly come on and I’m excited to see what he can do in an away environment, it’s different to coming on at The Valley with the whole crowd cheering you on.

Keep a clean sheet and we win the game. Concede and we draw 1-1.

If my sixth sense is correct, we could line up something along the lines of:

    Kaminski
    Ramsay Jones Gillesphey
    Bree Coventry Docherty Campbell
    Carey Berry
    Leaburn

That box midfield will help win the battle and second balls and players like Carey and Berry picking them up in advanced positions could cause issues. Naturally, that team would also heavily rely on TC. Let’s see what NJ does.
I like the look of that side with the box midfield. Tempted to rest Bree for Apter in that 11 so that we have a bit of threat on both wings as well as bite and numbers in midfield.

I had been thinking along those lines too. As we have 3 No 10s in the squad, and indeed most of our goals have come from them, why not have 2 of them behind a lone striker? Especially as 2 of my front 3 will be fresh.

    Carey Knibbs
         Tanto

I think Knibbs would be ahead of Berry. It would be nice to see both Knibbs and Carey in attacking midfield roles, as they have very different strengths, rather than Carey being pushed back into the Docherty role as has happened when they've played together. Knibbs is quite physical and has an aerial threat, Tanto can stretch the defence and run wide, leaving space for Carey to run into.
