On the stream just heard the trainer telling him to run harder in the post match warm down. So don't worry all is well.

Good read and very encouraging, especially the part about playing as an 8.

I wonder if Jones has signed Knibbs to play with Coventry in midfield as that box to box player while Coventry covers, and has other plans for the 10? Knibbs played as a central midfielder almost every game last season, was mainly used as an attacking midfielder prior to that in 23/24:

Some of that is an artifact of how transfermrkt tracks positions.  Reading played a lot of 433 formations.  Knibbs played in the midfield 3 so was listed as a central midfielder but he was midfielder who played the most forward positionally and had the freedom to drift centrally in attack with the other midfielders covering.  It was kind of like a hybrid of an attacking midfielder and a central midfielder.

It will be interesting to see if Jones uses him in the Berry AM role from last year or if we will see a more fluid midfield formation this year
True, he did play on the right hand side of a midfield 3, his heat map and line ups show that.

I'd quite like to see us play a 433, Coventry in that defensive role and then Knibbs on the right and Donley on the left if we pull that move off (wishful thinking) on a side note, Coventry's heat map BTW, my word, some player.

Did anyone notice Conor going for those two pisses?

NEVER EVER given a shit about us, so why would the BBC check our name is spelt properly before publishing?

Yet to see anything to get excited or inspired about!
Know he hasn’t had a preseason, but doesn’t come across a player who will effect our season a great deal

Has scored our only league goal of the season and barely been involved.

I’ll judge him once he’s had a proper run in the team

Not sure what you were expecting him to be, but everything said about him has made it clear he's a goalscoring midfielder who works hard and presses well, not a skilful playmaker to run the game and spray killer passes around.

He's played the equivalent of one and half matches so far.

Reminds me of people worrying Alfie May was a dud when he didn't score in his first couple of games.

Kelman, Knibbs, Rankin-Costello all had comments on here deciding they look rubbish.  They might be good, they might not turn out great, but give people a chance, and definitely more than a couple of games FFS.

Find it difficult to fathom how professional players can get so unfit in a matter of weeks. Expecting a lot more to come from his Knibbs.

Thought he pressed well on a handful of occasions when it was 0-0, but difficult match for him to effect proceedings given the ball was bypassing him a lot.

Hes not unfit, only in comparison to other professional footballers is he perhaps not there yet. Being fit and being match sharp are completely different things

He was puffing and blowing after five minutes v Stevenage. Looked well unfit to me.

Hello, mate. I know you are going through a lot at the moment. We (everyone who read what's up, am sure) are all wishing the best for you and yours.

I think your stress is leading you to post a bit spikily on here.
