Arteta getting booked for leaving his "technical" area. Surely Nathan Jones has been booked for that a few times??1

Hyped up as a title decider normally does that to a game..sam3110 said:Shocking game of football, barely anything happening0 -
If they actually paid attention to Jones on this, he'd be sent off every game and end up permanently in the standsKarim_myBagheri said:Arteta getting booked for leaving his "technical" area. Surely Nathan Jones has been booked for that a few times??1 -
Liverpool have come here to get a 0-0 draw.0

This is the most exciting part of the game for the wrong reasons.0

What a cnut Martinelli1
-
Shut up Neville. Going on about "I think an apology is needed"0
-
Isn't that 2 yellow cards for Martinelli, one for the pushover and 2nd one throwing the ball at him? doesn't VAR have a look at that?1
-
That’s dirty stinking filth from Martinelli1
-
Yet another player, playing right back for Liverpool injured, as Bradley appears to go right over on his ankle0

Hugely unlikeable squad, manager and fanbase6

Bradley made sure to shuffle himself back onto the pitch after though didn't he?
Unwarrented though, stupid from Martinelli0 -
Gomez on as sub. There goes any chance of him leaving in the window.sam3110 said:Yet another player, playing right back for Liverpool injured, as Bradley appears to go right over on his ankle0 -
I can't believe football professionals, pundits and media outlets were viewing this game as a title decider. It's only 21 games in.Karim_myBagheri said:

Titles aren't won 21 games in. Calm heads needed.1 -
Martinelli in January wins Cnut of the year , which is some feat in a world that has Trump and Putin in it5

Considering how good they are, i've no idea why Arteta goes into big games with a 'must not lose' attitude. You're top of the league with a full strength side at home to a depleted Liverpool who've been horrible in defence all season and you play like that.
Home and away v Liverpool = awful, didn't score.
Chelsea away = lucky to get a point v 10 men
City home = lucky to get a late point
Fortunately for them the rest of the league is way below par this season, so they will still win the league.5 -
This Arsenal team feels deeply unlikeable and very much shaped in Arteta’s image. With City dropping off, it’s frustrating, as I was hoping Arsenal would fall short again.3

Fair play to Arsenal and Arteta.
What Arteta has done there after such a dodgy start is nothing short of genius.
Don't get me wrong, I despise the Lego Headed Pr*ck with every bone in my body but you can't fault the job he has done. The football hasn't looked as good this season as it has maybe in the previous two years but they've become so much more functional and they've now got that resilience, that real back bone that winning teams need.
Of course, it helps having a board that is not frightened to spend money, both on transfer fees and wages. Arteta has built slowly with the right backing but he has got it right. They've now got 5/6 players that can play CB that would literally walk into any other team in the top 6/8 of the PL. Hincapie is 4th or 5th choice and that seems bonkers but that shows you how good a fit Saliba and Gabriel are. They've got options everywhere. The only position they still really haven't sorted out is the front man (thank god!) otherwise they'd be winning the league at a canter by the end of March.
Thats how you run a PL football club. The muppets at the other end of the Seven Sisters Road take note.

It helps when you're kept in the job for 6 years despite winning nothing. I can't imagine that would be tolerated at any other 'big' club, but they should now reap the rewards for sticking with him.JohnBoyUK said:Fair play to Arsenal and Arteta.

Just looking forward to the 2nd half of the season, when Arsenal bottle it, as they always do.
Don't care if City win it for the 100th time.3 -

Maybe that’s part of the reason Utd are the joke they’ve become, stability is a good thingMrOneLung said:

Yes, Arsenal should have sacked him a couple of years ago and appointed someone else whose project would probably be hitting its terminal phase around now, with Arsenal down in 7th place. Obviously1
