Well according to his FM ratings, his strengths are his crossing and vision, not his pace. Very different type of player to Waggy which should give us good options.
I know it's only FM but the Dagenham researcher was spot on with Benson's strengths and weaknesses. He also rates Vincelot as their best player right now.This is my normal source of info ( sad I know ) now Scoham and it is mostly accurate for British players . I like to see how some of our targets compare through different editions of the game . I was amazed to see Simon Francis was once regarded as a very promising youngster in one edition.I suspect some of the foreign leagues are more random for example Llera was always right footed until he joined Charlton.What are the checks and balances used to avoid horns and hallows ?Would you as the Charlton researcher have complete control of stats for our players or would the D&R researcher still have an input for the likes of Benson and Green ?0 -

@Richard JThe players were checked over and ratings updated at the end of the season, so the new signings will have been rated by their previous clubs researcher. For the last few years there has been a transfer window update, so the players have also been looked at in December/January.There are guidelines for each division/country to help keep everything balanced. The players overall ability and potential ratings are discussed on the researchers forum (only where others have an opinion of course). The Dagenham researcher could see how I've rated Benson and give an opinion if he feels something isn't right. The two English head researchers check the data and will question anything they feel isn't right. It'll also be tested within the game itself.Llera might have happened to play for clubs in Spain without a researcher, or it could have just been a mistake that no one spotted at the time.0

I don't know how old you are covered end junior, but I like a lot of your contributions to this site. I agree 100% with the above statement. As for Wagstaff, I think he will be used as an impact player from the bench this year if Green's signing comes off.

I have been told by a good source from within the club that Green & Stevens signed for us last Thursday evening and both the deals are done & dusted, I have no idea why its not on the OS yet, however I was at the Valley when told friday lunch time so I assumed it would be out there by now.
