Would have been better off calling up someone like Carl Rushworth if he wanted a fourth keeper.DyerConsequences said:35 year old Jason Steele who has played 35 league games for Brighton in the last 8 years?
Feels like Tuchel has had a Benson & Hedges Mike Bassett moment here.0 -
I'm guessing he's basically there for training but do you need 5 keepers for training?!0

I think Pickford and Henderson won't join up for the first part so he's effectively the third keeper for that bit of trainingNorth Lower Neil said:I'm guessing he's basically there for training but do you need 5 keepers for training?!2 -
Jason Steele is a surprise, he’s made 5 appearances in cup competitions this season. Call up not based on form but more about his character and experience as this is seen as a trial as to how he fits in with a view to going to the WC as a training keeper to support the GK group.

got to say, this seems a really sensible way of doing things for this international break by Tuchel2

Great player to come on and organise and calm things down if we’re a goal up with then minutes to go, but moreover, with his experience, to have around the training camp He’s been doing a great job for Brentford this season.Croydon said:Genuinely do not understand why I am still having to see Henderson in the England set up2 -

I get there are doubts about the defensive side of his game, but you can't seriously tell me that with Walker now too old and Reece James injured, that Trent is not in the best 3 right backs we have available.
