32:9 but with approx the same sqm of the old one is not going to improve the match day experience for much of our supporters. Let’s hope it is a truly poor render otherwise I can see complaints after the Shepherds Wednesday game…
unless I've mis-read it says the new screen is twice the size of the previous one

I just have vision of loads of people on here with 4:3 cathode ray tube tellys, going to Currys and complaining about the missing bits of the telly when they see a wide screen LED one

It will drive me crazy that it’s off centre from the poles it’s mounted on.
Wish you hadn't pointed this out. On top of the irregular spacing in the JSS lettering means I might have to start sitting with the away fans to get it all out of sight.

Wasn’t it going to be curved so the folks in the AC stand would see it better?

It will be when the away fans have a pull on it

It looks awful. Not why the club felt the need to oversell it as much as they did, for it to end up looking like that

To be very honest. It looks shit.  But hey what do I know. Will see at the Wednesday game.

Do people really spend that much of the 90 minutes looking at the screen to care that much?

Very odd looking . With that shape I expect everything will have to be scrolled along . Can’t see how video would work unless each end is cut off , then that completely defeats the purpose.

You can use it in a load of different ways, there's a ton of examples here on how that shape is used. S

Nice telly, looks like the guy who ordered it thinks like me, Lets get the biggest TV we can fit on the wall.
  • Looks awful…too wide with the no height added…😫

I think this the first time the club under this ownership have over promised and under delivered.

they said it would fill the entire corner? That’s barely going to fill the corners of peoples eyes!

The size of it would look better on the top of the away stand

It'll probably be a rolling screen like Wembley is

Hope that's an optical illusion, because my old man will be spinning in his grave!!!

It almost looks like the width isn’t finished yet that it needs to almost be touching the Curbs stand for it to look central on the poles.

Looks awful to me. Poor size ratio has the height of it even increased from the last screen?

That's unfair on away fans. I can only think of Millwall who wouldn't be affected as the thick fuckers can't read...

Disappointingly small and overall doesn't look any bigger, just more rectangular.
I hope it looks better when we're in the ground.
    C'est la vie.

If anyone is going to the game on Sunday would love a picture of what it looks like from the stands during the match
I'd imagine exactly the same as the image posted today, but with blokes in shorts running in front of it.

I just can’t see how they’ll manage to fit two full lineups plus the score and match time on such a narrow screen ratio. Realistically, you’ll probably only get the club names, score, and a big match clock — and that’s it. The lineups might just scroll across the screen at intervals.

I also doubt it’ll just be the score sitting there for the whole match. More likely, it’ll share screen time with ads popping up regularly — and probably far more often than the old setup ever did.

First the new lease & now this.

Being scammed again. If this was under Roland or Sandgaard people would be doing their nut. But as it's the new guys then it's all fine.

Still haven't fixed the lock in trap 3 of the AC stand. But have spent money putting useless handrails at the end of every row.

    Pah !

The old screen has permanent adverts on it all game long, there was a bar at the bottom with them on

Screens at Wembley are a bit similar in shape and they always look good.

Will probably be easier to read, and bigger.
