Hard to say it’s not disappointing about Knibbs . However, Ownership + Jones proved we can trust them. So whether it’s us pulling out because of a medical issue or think there’s now a better way to reallocate budget or reading upping demands we aren’t prepared to meet I’m going to back whatever we do. Hopefully there’s an opportunity for a Donley on loan as Carey and Berry dont look the same quality as the rest of the squad4

He's been ever present for 4 seasons, passed medicals with Cambridge and Reading.
Will be interesting to see if we find out more or it will be left there. I hope it's something that isn't completely dead and a deal that can still be made, but that seems very unlikely, not something that happens often in football.
This is tough, that would have been the business of the summer and he was everything we needed in this team, have to hope we have alternatives now
Even if something did flag up, surely it can be 'managed' like we have done with other players, especially for one that's made almost 200 apps in 4 seasons.
It was all reported that Reading had agreed a fee so it would be cheeky if Reading upping their price was the reason.
Ah well, on with the day, cakes on offer at Tesco, that seems like a good idea for now.
Just have to hope we have other targets in mind now. The good news is, we have still made a handful of very good signings, and we clearly have some cash to spend still. Fingers crossed we are already lining up the next one.

I've got to be out of the house in 2 hours and right now I am considering writing it off and just eating a birthday cake instead.
On an emotional level, I've took being dumped better than reading the "Knibbs is off" tweet.
Just football though init haha, plenty more Knibbs in the sea and all that, didn't immediately chin my cabinet when I read the news.6 -

Well they don't have to share the information in the first place do they? My point is people giving them stick will just prevent any future information being posted. If I'm goddenole (who clearly had a good source given he broke 3 transfers, 1 of which failed for reasons we don't yet know) I just wouldn't bother next time. If nothing else it gives us someone to look at or talk about, otherwise we'd have absolutely nothing to go on - so what's the point in giving them stick?Yann897 said:

this seems pretty nasty and petty, people who share rumours and news on transfers are only sharing what they hear and there is obviously always a chance of a hitch. I personally enjoy reading the rumours as I suspect most who post in this thread do. Agree with this and any information is always welcome. No problem with people getting things wrong even if saying a certainty and Goddenole info clearly comes from a decent source and something has happened with Knibbs we don’t know yet. The issue is more with Reams, where he has a one sided spat with Cawley, who has never done anything to him and gets people blocked from the forum for disagreeing with him.Vfrf said:

I had reason to believe earlier this morning that the Knibbs deal may have fallen through. A planned meeting with Knibbs for today was cancelled, which raised some concerns.
As far as I know, he picked up an injury during pre-season, so it may have been more serious than initially expected. With the Burke situation in mind, I can’t imagine our medical team would give the green light.
