Two takeaways for me:
1. If we’ve walked away, I trust we’ve done so with good reason. Our business so far has been excellent and if anything it’s good to see we aren’t being silly with our money.
2. We absolutely need someone with similar quality coming in for the CM role. We look light at the moment, with JRC and Coventry being the only two I’d feel confident starting.7 -

So no one knows. A mix of proposed ITKs saying Knibbs turned it down, failed medical or Reading turning it down. Wait and see, nobody knows.3

Harvey Knobbs amirite???0

But we’ve been told he signed and it was just a delay in announcing it.6

Two many different stories being banded around, Hunt has made it sound like it was Knibbs choice or along the lines of it wasn’t right? Reading press saying the clubs couldn’t agree, let’s wait to hear. Very disappointing but we will move on to other targets, hoping Donley is on the list.1
-
Maybe other clubs thought we were skint as many journalists appear to have thought.
The Kelman signing may have pricked Readings ears and they got silly with the asking price all of a sudden.
We move on2 -
Some reading fans speculating he failed his medical, apparently been struggling with his knee3

He's been ever present for 4 seasons, passed medicals with Cambridge and Reading.
Will be interesting to see if we find out more or it will be left there. I hope it's something that isn't completely dead and a deal that can still be made, but that seems very unlikely, not something that happens often in football.
This is tough, that would have been the business of the summer and he was everything we needed in this team, have to hope we have alternatives now
Even if something did flag up, surely it can be 'managed' like we have done with other players, especially for one that's made almost 200 apps in 4 seasons.
It was all reported that Reading had agreed a fee so it would be cheeky if Reading upping their price was the reason.
Ah well, on with the day, cakes on offer at Tesco, that seems like a good idea for now.1 - Sponsored links:

If he failed a medical and Reece Burke passed his, it must be bad!!25

But we were told by the other forum it was a done deal and to stop questioning their knowledge. Weird right8

Cawley's latest tweet on it makes it sound like it was our call rather than his/Reading's10

not played yet in pre season, last couple because he was said to be in talks, but the first couple were because of a niggle I'd read.0
