I saw their Radio 2 session on iplayer, it was magnificent - left me wishing I'd tried to get tickets for the O2. A guy on BBC London this morning said he went, and that Jarvis' banter between the song is as good as the songs themselves, takes a bit of doing. Truly a top man.Covered End said:Pulp at the O2.
Absolutely magnificent, an honour & privilege to have been there.
I’ve been to nearing a 1,000 gigs and that was up there with the best.
Jarvis Cocker is magnificent.3 -
The new album "More" is also excellent.1

Went yesterday great day out, beers and cocktails at the outside bar in the sun then the show which we thought was excellent, we got dance floor tickets which was really good and we was up the front. Wife and sister in law had a good dance together I was happy just enjoying the spectacle.Solidgone said:I went to see ABBA Voyage on Saturday afternoon. I am not an ABBA fan but had heard great reviews of the show. I must say it was excellent. It looked like ABBA were actually there on stage. The place was packed with everybody dancing (I tapped my toe now and again). I would highly recommend going to see it.3 -

Still remember your old denim jacket....Rush, ACDC, Scorpions, Motorhead etc.Greenhithe said:
My first proper gig was Rush at Hammersmith Odeon in 1979. My god i feel old.PopIcon said:
My first proper gig were PS at Brixton Acad in '94. Noel Gallagher was the support act. They were ace that night, really blew me away. I've seen them few times in since and it feels like a slow death.Greenhithe said:
They can be hit or miss. Which was a bit my point - my god they were fucking brilliant on Margate.PopIcon said:
I saw them at South Facing a few weeks back and they were shite. Bobby's voice was shot and live mix was a mush.Greenhithe said:Saw Primal Scream a few weeks ago at Dreamland in Margate. I've seen them 5 times and this was by far the best. My god they were good, started off with a 15 minute version of Movin on Up which was almost religious. Great set and the band were spot on, tight as. Not even ruined by the odd downpour. Going to see Th Streets there in 2 weeks
He was waffling on, celebrating people on drugs, truly cringeworthy.1 -

😂yes mate. I still have the photos to prove it. Very proud of the gigs I went to at such a young age. Not necessarily my look 😂HastingsRed said:

Went to both nights of Nine Inch Nails UK tours this week. Tuesday in Manchester and last night at the O2.
Amazing set-up going from solo acoustic on the piano in the middle of the arena with no lights or effects through to full on industrial metal assault on the main stage in a strobe lit cube. Also thrown into the mix was a rave/EDM section plus a load of deep cuts with a different set each night.
Next up Maiden at the Olympic Stadium next weekend then Sabbath/Ozzy in Brum the following weekend!1 -
Fabulous show from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs at the Royal Albert Hall. More mellow than the old days, but a great show. Even some strings to add to the band's usual offering.

Trophy Eyes Downstairs at The Dome last Monday. A/C was broken and the venue was approaching the surface temperature of the sun. Absolutely horrendous. The poor singer was in a right state by the end and could barely string a sentence together.0

Took the missus to see Lionel Richie last Friday at the Co-op Live - I'll admit to liking his as well! Great show from a true entertainer - hard to fathom that he's 76!Can't say I was overly impressed with the arena although the hospitality areas are nice. The O2 is better in my view.1

More than one other, I really enjoyed Sparks, impossible not too. Incredible how much they are adored, almost overwhelming. But did think the sound was a bit off, maybe just me.Covered End said:

Thought they were brilliant on Wednesday night, too. Seen them umpteen times, including Jakarta and Osaka, but I loved the addition of strings. Great night.sillav nitram said:Yeah Yeah Yeahs RAH last night.

82nd gig of the year for me last night. Alien Nosejob at The Green Door Store in Brighton. They haven't been over from Oz in 2 years but was well worth the wait. Definitely in my top 5 performances of the year so far.0

Not there but watching Sting at The Isle of Wight on TV. Fucking fantastic, his voice doesn’t sound any different to back in the day. Incredible gig.3

            My mate’s there.
He just messaged me -
“Sting’s a bit meh”.0 -
Saw the Zutons, Lightning Seeds, plus Richard Ashcroft as the headline act at Blenheim Palace last night.Must admit that I hadn’t really heard much of Ashcroft’s music before but really liked him. Understand he will be supporting Oasis on all their forthcoming UK dates.2

I thought he sounded pretty shite, was often singing Vic Reeves club stylee, murdered most of his songs and loves himself so much he was in danger of disappearing up his own arse.stonemuse said:

But apart from that at least he sang Roxanne well.0 -

The Style Councillors at Colchester Art Centre last night aka the inside of a church!
A very impressive performance, 9 piece band, excellent DC Lee impersonator.3
