I have two All Points East tickets for sale, Sunday 24th August that we bought on Early Bird. Can’t make it now due to it being right off the back of our holiday and childcare issues. £150 total. That day:

    Maccabees
    Bombay Bicycle Club
    Cribs

Send me a DM if you want them. Will wait and get them on Ticketmaster or something next week otherwise.

Wetleg, Electric Ballroom tonight. Some bits excellent, some so-so.

Saw them at their break out appearance in the big tent at isle of wight about 3 years ago. Absolute shite. Hope they've managed to work out how to okay/sing a bit since then.

Off to Wembley shortly, but got ticket’s for Paul Weller’s 2nd Gig for Gaza this morning. This time at Troxy.  Primal Scream with him again, as well as Inhaler and Maverick Sabre.

Catfish and the Bottlemen at Tottenham on Sunday next up for me.
  • Mary in the Junkyard is a curious name for a band, which in turn is a curious threesome. Sometimes playing the standard two guitars and drums but at other times switching to violin and cello. They are a bit different but nonetheless an enjoyable watch. Saw them at the Tunbridge Wells Forum.

Didn’t need much incentive to get Richard Ashcroft tickets, but he was as brilliant as always last night at Wembley.  Got tickets for his gig at The O2 next March this morning.

Oasis tonight (Saturday) and Richard Ashcroft were excellent.

Like a low key oasis gigs I saw Ash, Charlatans and Manics at Audley end at probably the most middle aged and polite festival I've ever been to, music was great... My kind of gig!

James supporting Catfish and the Bottlemen this evening were excellent - even if there appears to be a weird cult vibe amongst them nowadays.

Have heard some horror stories about Catfish and the Bottlemen live shows, so was a bit apprehensive about tonight. They were brilliant though, their sound works really well in a stadium setting and the atmosphere in the crowd was electric.

We saw Squeeze at Caldicot Castle last night. As usual a very nice show.
  • Went to the Wedding Present "At the Edge of the Sea" festival at the Concord 2 in Brighton this weekend with my son. We've been to all of them since 2018. Excellent performance from the Wedding Present last night but they were (IMO) a bit lacklustre on Friday night. Overall it feels like the whole thing is getting a bit tired and we're thinking about giving it a skip next year. Don't know whether any other addicks were there- I saw a bloke with a Charlton tattoo on his leg there a couple of years ago. Nightmare journey home- hundreds of stripy nigels got on the train at East Croydon on their way to Wembley.

Me too. Looking forward to Stanglers most as they always put on a good show. Buzzcocks poop without Shelley, Pistols will be interesting, Frank Turner is a great front man apparently.

Thanks for the correction, that's who I meant. I'm sure Frank Turner is great too.

My cousin runs the company that arranges the Reading festival.  He’s sent my daughter a couple of press passes for tomorrow. She’s super excited about seeing Hozier & Chappel Roan. She’s seeing Hozier next month in the states, but she missed out of getting tickets for Chappel Roan this year. Her best mate can’t go, so she has to decide between me & Mrs GA.

Victorious festival for me this weekend.  Kings of Leon, vampire weekend. Queens of the Stone Age headliners, lots of 90s bands on the undercard.

Awesome gig last week in Colchester... White Lies, Skunk Anansie and Smashing Pumpkins. I'm basically tied to the nostalgia circuit but whatever... Seeing Def leppard in a few weeks 🤣

Saw this tribute band last year, when there was a mega down pour, and they played on, fantastic gig, and they are playing for FREE for two days running from 2.30, couple of other local bands, bring a fold up chair, and have a great afternoon, Not sure you will ever see the Floyd again, and I saw them quite a few times, one of the best bands live to me. Like the graphic above (not one of mine) Fantastic that groups play for Free.
I think it is going to be busy!, you may have to park a little way from the bandstand.

I was down to photograph their London show, but couldn't make it. I was gutted. Definitely Leppard though. Saw them in Cologne a few years ago. The loudest gig I have ever been to.

I'm covering The Maccabees at All Points East on Sunday. Nostalgia hate watching! When I was young my old band did a tour, playing the same venues as them literally a night or two after.
20 years later I work in prisons and photograph bands to get out of the house. Absolutely not bitter...

A friend went to the White Lies/Skunk/Pumpkins gig. She really liked White Lies and Smashing Pumpkins but thought Skunk Anansie was dreadful, despite being a fan.

thought Skin was amazing! They don't really have the catalogue of songs that pumpkins have though
