Finally able to make it to The Valley this weekend and wondered if anyone who has been can tell me if the safe standing is across all blocks of the CE upper? All I can see is it's the back 8 rows but not sure if that's the whole stand or just certain blocks
all of the back row of the upper
    Thanks @Henry Irving

Is anyone here in those blocks? How are you finding it?

I am. I think its great. Definitely busier up there this season than the last couple and feels like the atmosphere has improved because of that. It's also handy having something to lean on when you're standing for 90 mins straight!

Totally agree, I'm at the back of block H and it's much busier this season. Atmosphere generally feels better as well. It's definitely made an improvement to the match day.
  • its great - amazed at the number of people in safe standing that still sit for the entire game...

Happy to swap knees so you can find the answer to your question.

I would imagine you walk up a few flights of stairs and there it is.

Well there are plenty of other areas of the ground where everyone sits. Surely if you are sitting when everyone else around you is standing, you'll have a lousy view of our football.

    Unless that's deliberate, of course.

I'm in the front row of the stand, so no wankers standing in front of me.

So you're not in the safe standing section anyway!

Perhaps the safe standing area, where people are going to stand up, isn't the right place for someone that needs to sit down?

I never was in the ssa. The issue is about 40% of the covered end stand up . It is why I moved 3 years ago. Just annoying.

Was great yesterday. In part that's down to the opposition and performance but even the first half was great. Felt like there were only 2/3 very short spells with no noise which is unusual in my experience. It was jam packed with 16-20 yr olds at the top which is something for @castrust to consider, it's definitely more preferable for them than the youth zone and they make a lot of noise

Of course it is - you would have to be a right nerdy wimp to want to sit in a quadrant with other kids when all the atmosphere is up above or below you to your left.

I fear Woodwork may be persona non grata / no longer of this parish / a dead parrot / sitting with Plum in the naughty corner.

From the article posted above… are the two pieces of information in bold new? I don’t remember seeing them shared anywhere before.

The club's Safety Officer Mick Everett has provided the below update...

    SAFE STANDING

The club were delighted to announce that, during the course of the summer break, a new safe standing area will be installed in the Covered End Upper. This new section will be across blocks G to N (excluding Block K) and will be the back eight rows throughout all of these blocks. This will give the club a safe standing area for 1,064 supporters. The seats will actually remain in situ so fans can still use them pre-match and at half-time should they wish to do so.

The club has also received provisional permission to install a safe standing area in the Covered End Lower, but this is something the club may pursue at some stage in the future, depending upon the success in the Covered End Upper.

I assume we won't be increasing our safe standing section this summer, as they would presumably have announced it before season tickets went on sale?

Is there such a thing as a safe area at Millwall?

Wait till Stuwall finds out his seat is no longer.
