No surprises:
Wish all the guys well and hope we can fit Ahadme up with a League 1 loan even though we will have to pay 60% of the wages.
Great for Watson, Chuks and Gilbert to finish with happy memories of their time at Charlton.
Gilbert has potential to kick on with Middlesbrough.

One of the interesting things is the club making it really clear which u21s are rated the most highly, as they’re now considered part of the first team:
Gassan Ahadme, Karoy Anderson, Nathan Asiimwe, Luke Berry, Tyreece Campbell, Conor Coventry, Kaheim Dixon, Greg Docherty, Josh Edwards, Kai Enslin, Ibrahim Fullah, Macaulay Gillesphey, Matty Godden, Lloyd Jones, Daniel Kanu, Miles Leaburn, Will Mannion, Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Micah Mbick, Alex Mitchell, Zach Mitchell, Alan Mwamba, Kayne Ramsay, Terry Taylor.
Loads of potential in that group of 7 players, and a good spread of positions, but we do need to be patient with them and support them in going through the ups and downs that come with progressing to the first team, rather than writing any of them off too early.
Being in the Championship though might see a different plan for some of them, with loan spells rather than immediately being more involved in the first team.
Laqeretabua is probably part of that group too after signing a new deal a while ago, but I believe he has a long term injury.

Of those I think could move on I think most would be relatively easy to move (in terms of clubs wanting them and able to afford them at least), AMB, A Mitchell, Berry, Docherty, Taylor. The only difficult one to shift will be Ahadme and sadly he has the longest contract!

I feel for Watson, as he always seemed to give everything when he played, but ultimately, he's not a championship player. Totally understand Chuks going. No point in a player that can only play 30 minutes a week and will probably be out for half the season. He has also lost his pace this year, but this may well his head telling him not to put the burners on, rather than a physical issue?
As for Gass, I don't think we ever saw the best of him this season, as he's the type that would suit an old skool 4-4-2, with "proper" wingers whipping the ball in, which makes it baffling as to why we signed him in the first place? Regardless, he needs to be moved on.3 -
I would like to see Taylor given a chance, very good dead-ball kicker, we haven't really seen if he can fit in.2

It's a harsh league, so unfortunately I'd be look at who we should definitely keep... and it's limited to Jones, Gillesphey, Ramsey, Coventry, Edwards, Godden, Leaburn, Small. There are others I'd be happy keeping, including the likes of Mannion, TC, Anderson, but some tough decisions are coming... and this released list isn't one of them.1

Ahadame lacks pace to run in behind and gets nowhere near a long ball when being the target man.
Question is, what exactly is he good at.
We can’t all be wrong about him being pony.
Perhaps Jones and the coaching staff see something we don’t.1 -
I think we can trust NJs judgement on which of them are ready. This time last year some would have released TC. Others didn’t mind him in the squad but never expected him to become a regular starter, especially not in a hybrid striker/winger role.Southbank said:

Some but not all will likely go on loan. None will be released as the club confirmed they’re under contract.
We’ll have 9 subs in the league, I’m sure there will be plenty of times when some of that group make up the bench.7 -
