Charlton Athletic can now confirm their end-of-season men’s first-team squad update following the successful conclusion of the 2024/25 campaign.

The following men’s first-team players remain under contract:

Gassan Ahadme, Karoy Anderson, Nathan Asiimwe, Luke Berry, Tyreece Campbell, Conor Coventry, Kaheim Dixon, Greg Docherty, Josh Edwards, Kai Enslin, Ibrahim Fullah, Macaulay Gillesphey, Matty Godden, Lloyd Jones, Daniel Kanu, Miles Leaburn, Will Mannion, Ashley Maynard-Brewer, Micah Mbick, Alex Mitchell, Zach Mitchell, Alan Mwamba, Kayne Ramsay, Terry Taylor.

Thierry Small, whose contract is set to expire this summer, has been offered a new deal.

The following players, whose contracts are set to expire this summer, have not been offered a new contract:

Chuks Aneke, Dean Bouzanis, Aaron Henry, Danny Hylton, Tennai Watson.

Danny Hylton, who joined the Addicks as a Player-Coach in Sepember 2024, will now sign a contract to continue as part of Nathan Jones’ backroom staff.

The following players will return to their parent clubs following the expiration of their loan deals:

Alex Gilbert, Tom McIntyre.

Manager Nathan Jones said: "We would like to thank every departing player for their professionalism and commitment throughout their time at Charlton Athletic. They have all played a big part in the environment and culture that we have been able to create, which has ultimately got us promoted to the Championship."

    As said, no surprises.

    Good luck to those leaving.

No news on the U21s other than Kedwell.

No, you'd have to say this was pretty much exactly what most people would have predicted. The ones who go leave with good wishes but there's not one of them that I personally think we'll miss next season.

As expected but good luck to Chuks especially.

Sad for those who have been released, especially Chuks and Tennai who were on the pitch at Wembley

At least they managed to sign off on their time at Charlton in the most positive way possible.

As mentioned its not really a shock this news to be honest, and its the right decision... Good to see the mention of Small being offered a new deal, gives a bit of hope there. I actually think the U21 released list will be more surprising this summer to be honest, with the likes of Harvey Kedwell (If rumours are true) released.

Pretty expected. Thought we may have kept Watson but he’s not a starter and we’ll be looking to upgrade.

The hardest player to get rid of will be Ahadme.
Still got 3 years left on his contract and I doubt any club above league one will be interested.
    A terrible signing
can't really name another poor signing though which is better than usual! Maybe Cambridge will take him in Lg2

Ironic where we’ve had countless years we’ve been going into the summer with few players and needing a big rebuild, the year we could do with some space to bring in higher quality we’ve got a full squad already that we may now struggle to offload!

I reckon 9 of the retained will be looked to move on as well.

Could see Chuks and Watson training with us to keep fit and we can always evaluate if we're in need of extra bodies towards the end of the summer.

    Hopefully won't come to that.

No surprises, even if Small is off we needed to put the offer in to get compensation I think?

Can see a loan where we get stuck with some of the wages.

To be honest Harvey is probably one I worry the least about in some regard, with his future - His Dad with his career, will no doubt have a decent amount of contacts and suspect we'll see him back in the EFL one day if not next season, like Euan Williams who ended up at Gillingham last summer.

you'd think at least a couple of the youngsters will head out on loan and a couple of the others will be shipped out (Taylor for one, Asiimwe, Maynard-Brewer).

I think that's twenty four pros remaining, of which ten have come through the academy system.

Imagine if we hadn’t let Edun, REG etc go in January!

I think we’ll see others sold or loaned out, and that might include more than we expect if we can bring enough new signings in.

No surprises those leaving as others said and hopefully they all find new clubs soon.

On the u21s, looking back they did a separate announcement covering those released from the u21 and u18 squads, and then a further announcement on the new u18 first years.

They don’t want to get rid .. if he can get fully fit over the summer he will still be useful like he showed in pre season last year and the start of the season . And he not played in this system .

From the remaining squad probably look to move AMB Taylor potentially Leaburn permanently and then sort loans out for Enslin Asiimwe Kanu Dixon and Ahadme

Our only hope is someone like Burton or Cambridge come in for him where he has played well before and can match his wages.

Take the hit and free up some room. Utter dud.

    Yes right, Col.

He was shit when he was fully fit and would be a very expensive squad player taking up a spot. Get rid asap - either loan or permanent and take a hit if need be. He is nowhere near good enough for The Championship.

No surprises there. Small in my opinion will be a silly boy if he does not sign a new deal with us

A few more on the list currently in contract that can shipped on as well if the right prices are offered for them

I can still see a couple of those on the first list being sold . Ahadme especially but obviously at a loss.
